I am trying to locate the owner of this building. I seek to convert it into a public house for the purpose of opening a County Recording Office, where documents/books can be recorded and stored by any player. Please PM me or find me on IRC to discuss terms.

The purpose, aside from selling useful scrolls and various nicknacks is to serve as a repository of player documents, books, contracts, patents, lawsuits, deeds, wills and the like in book, rune, or other media.

Player orders will be processed in a somewhat timely manner allowing one to have a document on open display, or stored in a locked cabinet behind a locked door, available for copies and inspection upon request (assuming the request is particular enough) It will also store all the OSI books that exist in the various town libraries. So, more or less RP and Deco purposes.

An example of a locked record will be you submit a book to the clerk (me or someone else), that clerk will make a copy and place it in a locked chest with a numeric title allowing for easy reference (ie: VOL IV, PART 48), and the player will receive a receipt of this title for reference. Anyone who instructs the clerk to produce this record and pays a nominal fee will be able to receive a copy of the record.

The transactions can be done in several ways, most conveniently by providing the clerk with an original.

In short, it works like your local county recording office.

Yes, that sort thing. I am still working out how to do public documents so they cannot be defaced (as I don't think locked down books would work, possibly with Christervention)

But locked catalogs on request would be reasonably simple.
