Yep been trying to get a moat installed. Instead I just get the run around 24/7 from telamon. he doesn't answer me at all. I ask him.. "hey you got my cords?". he told me to send them to him a month ago. EVERYDAY I ask him he NEVER responds. He will respond to Zyler or appently anyone else except me.

Really pissing me off. I keep telling him you know I want lava right? NO ANSWER

All I ever hear is how busy he is. Well I work a 40 hr + job to. IM 30. I have a 2nd job I work on the weekends. Also not to mention all the crap I have to do as well. I'm busy to but I get time to get on here and play or have time to get other things done that I tell people I will do

ahh, im sure he's just really busy. With the patch coming out and the anniversary events, he had to come up with all of those scavenger hunt spots and deal with an influx of players picking prizes and all that jazz. Also, I'm sure they are hard at work on getting the rest of the patch content out, like the carpentry BOD's.

I'm definitely excited to see the new BOD's and appreciate their effort in working on that stuff to get it out ASAP. But hopefully he will get to you soon and everyone can live happily ever after. I'd like to check it out when its finished!

For something that's still technically in testing/beta and applied by a single admin, I don't think you have much room for complaint. It's not like you farmed up the gold to buy it and were expecting immediate results for your hard work. I understand the frustration, but imagine being in his shoes with people constantly PMing him about things while he's A) trying to do his actual job RL, B) working on important aspects of the shard and C) trying to actually enjoy his life and not be people's whipping boy.

Now imagine one guy PMs you every day about something unimportant like his moat and think about how you might react.

lol I think I have plenty of room for complain. don't had stuff out you cant do. Don't say things you cant get to. Isnt that what we are all taught? So I def think I have stuff to cplain about due to the fact I cant even get an answer from him.

And Dyne iv had this cupon OVER a month. So the plan this , had to do that, this and the other. I have stuff in my life I have to do to I get it done. I get this is a game. But serious a month??

This isn't a business and you didn't pay for shit. This is a free service he's providing at a financial LOSS, if that makes any sense to you. Demands about free shit in a free world is laughable. I don't even demand shit and I've been donating monthly for a long ass time.

Yes, donations help offset the costs of running the shard. He's not turning a profit (ie: not a business seeking gains) and if you saw the financial reports (that he shares with donors) you'd probably respect that a bit more.

Well this thread went off the deepend.

All I will add is that my reason for purchasing the property was to indeed have the moat. Tela has been an incredible admin coming from someone who was a GM on a heavy played freeshard. He's always been active in helping me with issues despite all the other players that hit him up constantly. I hope I don't have to wait a freakin month to get this thing installed, but i'm not going to lose sleep over it with that being said. I'm happy to play here and enjoy the game, being on the time I've seen Chris put into fixing things for players i'm sure installing the moat isn't as simple as one might expect, considering what i just found out was that they were initially bound to accounts, I'm sure it's a process.. I'm also sure we will both get our moats installed eventually and we just have to tough it out.

@WorkerBee , I don't know the full story, but it seems you are justified in feeling frustrated. However, what I suspect happened was that after the frustration first struck, instead of staying polite and patient, you got testy. The human species does not react well to even justified annoyance and snark. It tends to make people want to do the opposite of whatever it is you want them to or just ignore you outright.

Most of us on this shard have experienced this to some degree - sometimes you catch him free and clear and receive instant gratification and sometimes you need to remind him. Many times. Stay cool and polite, space those reminders out by at least a few days, and you will achieve victory.

I'll fight Chris till the cows come home on disagreements over mechanics and development. As such, I could understand heated and continued discussion over mechanics, but this is not over mechanics and is just absurd and pathetic on a level that is hard to tolerate in any way.

I just want to clarify something here..

I was specifically told that I could sell my coupon if I chose to do so but it had to be made clear that moats are an upcoming addition to the server and when released would be free, thus the coupon 'should be' worthless in value. I believed disclosing this in my auction to be moot considering there was a large patch Q&A disclosing this directly from the admin (the upcoming moat additions for all).

Also, I was never given a timeline or a restriction on when the moat would be installed. I guess I was lucky that I didn't have to wait as long as others.
