Actually, last I looked, i think there was 26 of this hue. It's a 1/200 drop off of fluffy and right now the bids are too low for me to even consider selling it. : )
Any 1/200 drop item I expect more than an hour or 2 farming worth of gold, whether its valued more or not. haha

That being said, offers on the ancient treasure chests, rocks, cannonballs etc, I will probably end when I get up in the morning with a few hours extended if any last minute offers to prevent sniping.

An hour or two of farming to me is "A tamer spending an hour at elder gazers or another similar high yield area" 100kish an hour.



Confirmation on scale count is 53 total scales, and 22 of this hue.

I tire of these "offer and I'll think about it" posts. Post what you want for the thing in order for you to sell it and stop wasting everyone's time.

What is so upsetting about me asking you to post a ballpark figure for people to work with? The alternative is people throwing out figures and competing with each other for an item you have no intention of selling. Are you afraid to put forward a figure? If you don't know the value, ask for a price check.

You can post whatever you like inside the confines of the trade forum rules... and others can treat you for the reputation you build because of it. You're wasting people's time. I'm going to say it even if it hurts your feelings. Good luck and free bump.

Nobody else mentioned having a problem with how I run my sales. I've did them the same way on UO for the last 20 years and rarely have had a problem. These are my items to sell. It's not an ebay auction, it's me selling my items, auction or bid was never once mentioned in the thread. It's asking for offers, and if the offer is greater than my love of pixels, I sell the item.

The reason I don't ask for a price check and sell according to value is this so called "value" is a made up number that someone else thought maybe the item should be worth and rares/spawning rares on this server are severely undervalued based on rarity vs time to make the amount of gold for said item. I'm not going to sell an item that there is only 20 of on the server, for less than 100k... If it was as easy as spending 1 hour farming gold to get a 1/20 item, there would be hundreds of the item, not 20. If the offers don't get to what I want for the item, I will pull the item from the sales thread.

The only one wasting anyones time, is you coming into a thread that you have not placed any bids on, and trying to incite public opinion. Noone else has mentioned to me or had a problem with the way I do my sales. If you have any positive feedback, maybe try sending a private message next time instead of trying to blast the way someone does some publicly to try to incite others toward your agenda.

I don't come into your sales threads blasting the way you do things...or blasting the way you play your game. So please stay out of my threads with your negativity. You can have your negativity in game as much as you want but please keep it out of my sales threads. Thanks.

If you know an amount of gold/plat which you would accept to sell the item, why not simply post it so others can see what the ballpark is and go from there? You knew it here, so why let people waste their time competing offers on a scale you wouldn't let go for less than a couple hundred thousand?

I would have offered on some of the items if I knew a point at which you would sell. You didn't do that and I complained about it. The post was directly related to the sale thread and the items you were selling.

@Azoth You do have a tamer, you were at the same Taming Quest as me on your tamer called Amberlin or something similar.

What I meant was not a GM tamer, which is pretty much all that counts when it comes to farming. All Abramelin farms right now is turnips

haha...Anytime you want to work on taming a bit bud, send me an IRC, ill come do retames with ya for a couple hours here and there. It helps alot.

While I personally don't really care for vague listings like this, I know what I'm willing to spend and it's no loss for me to throw out a number on something and hope the seller doesn't have some ridiculous reserve in their head only. This time, it worked out.

If you don't like the way someone.. is doing something... you don't have to participate. It truly is, that simple.

Having said that, I understand why some people like Blaise, are not fans of this type of sale.. But I also understand why people like Dyne DO like this type of sale. Different strokes for different folks. But as you can see by Blaise's response and subsequent purchase, as long as the seller is legit, it all works out in the end.

I didn't take Iago's post as whining at all. While items I sell normally are listed low i post them because I wholly intend to sell them. I respect Dynes views on this. I had this discussion yesterday before this even started when people were suggesting a certain axe have the starting bid at 50k. I asked what they expected. Response 200k. I said listi it at 200k. If no interest it goes in your bank box. Bad dealings in the past with someone would have me not deal with them again. Trade forums to me should be pretty cut and dry. If I list one of my ban or shatter weapons at 10k starting bid and it sells at that then that's my misgiving. Congrats on the bone container Blaise. Nice item.
