So now that we're all using Razor nobody really uses In Lor anymore or black Pots
So what if we gave them a use, Not really sure what purpose but It just seems like we've got a useless spell and a useless potion.

    Any ideas?

if this wasn't a very mage-oriented era I would say

    + Intelligence.

but mages are already the dominant class in PvP, so something that increases dexxer capabilities only (except wrestling).

just thought of: +10 to all stats if you don't have evaluating intel

What? I use both spells and black potions every time I play the game!

Yeah, make razor comply with server and turn off light override. Make In lor a level 4 spell.

I really wish Razor could comply with the server light levels but I think its next to impossible. Telamon would have to find a way around razor if its even possible.

Light levels are totally client side there's other ways to get rid of it than razor, it'g just encourage more client modding.

That said, I'm not opposed to making black potions useful the +int idea isn't bad I guess seeing as how we got str and agi pots.

What about +MAXHP or + MAXSTAM pots?

Agreed. I use to use the AlwaysLight patch before Razor was around.

There's probably a reason why Intel pots don't exist. I don't think players should be able to have 125 intelligence/mana.

Yeah perhaps not, balance should be considered but i don't have a fundamental opposition to improving black pots.

I never used Dark Nights until hanging with my fellow Pawsians. In fact I had to turn on weather too so Jupiter would start making a little more sense. I think they add to the game for me (as Ragar) but IF I had another character who tended to attack people (ludicrous) I would have it turned off on that guy. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

If we want to encourage it I wonder if there is any way the staff could just run something where having dark nights on actually helps...a clue during the scav hunts was taken with dark nights (the Khaldun one)...I really don't know what else could be done but maybe something. That way the people with it off would lose out on precious pixels and they'd be all like hells no I'm turning that off next time.

    Mindblast damage reduction by -20.

    lol

Otherwise, I'd just prefer that staff get serious about third party apps and force Razor Feature Negotiation on everyone. Only the one's willing to mod their clients around nighttime would get away with it. In the very worst, it would alienate people who force themselves to play without Razor at all. In the very best, it would fuck the couches of all those UOS and EUO lame asses.

Wouldn't you just create new potions? They are plenty of colors left!

Also I would like black pots to work in dungeons. I would use them, but for some reason they don't work in dungeons. I think @Blaise knows about this bug too.

Yeah. I know, Jupiter would be one to be aware of issues with using night sight pots. :)

As for adding to the black potion uses it would be cool if maybe it revealed secret passages too? Like the one in Ocllo newbie dungeon or under the hedge maze?

Or maybe give you a 10 second & 10 tile passive detect hidden where you can see ghosts/hidden people.

It should not reveal because that would be another nail in the coffin against thieves, but let you see them as non targetable.

Finally, is there any way to dispel night sight? I sometimes cast night sight and then regret that I have to wait a while before it fades.

If it shows hidden players, it's too powerful for an item that requires no skill, even if it had a 10 minute cooldown between uses.

I see your point. I'll update my original post.

What about thoughts on ghosts or hidden passages?
