The thing about electronic instruments is even though a lot of synthesizers have the same basic features... they are designed differently with different circuits, and parts... and thus each instrument has unique characteristics. and investing in such technology is smart honestly... typically the stuff appreciates in value. For example: If you want a roland TR808 drum machine these days... it's gonna run you like 3k+
Fun Fact: I bought Prodigy's the Fat of the Land when I was 10 years old with my own money... Listened to it while fucking people up in 4-square.
I said I liked house music with staccato pianos and groovy rolling basslines... and Dierdre nailed it... I had to listen to the Todd Terje track AGAIN. Multiple detuned sawwaves (Which is the main synth patch is most of the submissions) are so cheesy! Get with it.
I'm glad you guys have started posting what I consider to be "Real house music" ... as opposed to the EDM trash that likes to pretend its house music.
I love this.... nice blend of the 2 genres this thread is all about... That intro is like STRAIGHT UP techno... and then the electric piano comes in and it instantly feels more soulful... ala house music. MMmMm ... I love it.
Darude Sandstorm is not even ALMOST classic house... It's not even house music lol. This is real classic house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=67&v=cZj9oQ-5aaY
