I don't normally retract bids but I feel that Bernard Madoff was just bidding to try and drive the price higher because that's what he does. This whole auction has been a weird ordeal and although I have nothing but respect for Bigshow, I feel this thread has been tainted and would advise him to cancel the whole ordeal and work out a private deal or repost at a later date. Just make sure to put up your disclaimers about accepting private BO's etc etc.

The tell the private bidder to public bid. It's pretty easy to maintain your own stated standards.

Edited because I read the rest of the replies. This auction became what it is because Bigshow compromised the integrity of the auction, others took advantage of it.
