@Dyne I understand your position, and he did not drive up the price as I removed his bid, and if he never bid at all it would still be 400k. But if you want to retract you bid that is understandable.

That feeling when your own guildmate tries to upbid and bait people into bidding more, then fails, then you have to distance yourself from him, then your auction goes to shit.

Well as you know, I pm'd you on irc as to why I retracted the bid. I thought contacting you on the matter privately would be in better taste than to put it here publicly. Thanks and good luck.

I did not try to upbid anyone. I would never do that, and especially to guildmates. However I can see how it would look like it. I like my guild a lot more than trying to get an extra 50k out of an auction....

I think what Puck means is your guild mate (Bernard Madoff) bid up the auction quite a bit, made an ass of himself, tried to bait Dyne into a higher bid (by the "Dyne doesn't have deep pockets" comment), then you had to distance yourself from him and cancel his bids :p

Unless of course you didn't know Bernard Madoff is Preyas.... Which is entirely possible I guess and if I were you I'd be pretty pissed at him for mucking up your auction like this & making it look like a very very sketchy auction..

    [Bernard_Madoff] (~UOR@Chat4all-EBFADA2.nycmny.fios.verizon.net)

    [Preyas] (~UOR@Chat4all-EBFADA2.nycmny.fios.verizon.net)

If you doubt the above type /whowas Preyas then /whowas Bernard_Madoff on IRC and compare for yourself :)

I don't blame @Dyne for retracting his bid due to that type of thing... Whole thing with Preyas/Bernard bidding it up seems a bit sketchy.

I have seen preyas buy his own things from bernard madoff, if this is true, which it seems it is from the above IP comparison...He should receive a forum ban for bidding up/bidding on his own auctions.

    http://uorforum.com/threads/selling-deer-mask-hue-1109-special-shadow-blessed-fully-forted.14290/

He didn't want the item to be sold for 900k to Valrick, so he decided to bid on it with his "Preyas" account so he didn't have to sell it for "too cheap". Then within a few days, he was selling it again on Preyas Account for 1.1 BO.

    http://uorforum.com/threads/wts-hue...ask-blessed-fully-forted-price-lowered.14371/

If this isn't proof enough that this guy is forum scamming, then I don't know what is. I guess he could argue that it's his "brother" or "wife" on the same IP, but we all know better than that.

Sorry for posting this in your thread Bigshow but it just seemed appropriate since he played similar shenanigans here. Even if no forum ban is warranted, at least its here for all to see and to know not to trust this .... wait for it....SCALLIWAG....in the future.

And it's only safe to purchase from a vendor if there's a character named "shadowjack" there to protect you from any thieves or scalliwags that may be roaming about. Make sure you stand there for at least 10 seconds after buying your goods to make sure noone "bad" is coming.

People are attempting to make this an auction again. I agree this issue needs to be looked at more carefully. Perhaps a thread should be made.
