Whoa! Like... everyone's selling off their high end properties... at the same time. Something strange is afoot in UOR.
20 mil? Did we time warp to Ultima Online Atlantic Server 2006? At this rate we're going to need UO banks and 10-20 year house loans.
I assume not, as it was partially looted once. I don't believe the person who looted it had a rune to begin with though. My personal opinion is that they used a bug involving a boat to acquire access, although I'll admit there's no way to prove that. Either way it's pretty likely that if they didn't start with a rune, that they probably marked one. I will say though that, I'm pretty confident I know who did it and they no longer play here if I'm correct.
Until moats are released or the [isitsecure commands come back, assume any CY has every spot marked and employ other safety measures.
The fort is worth whatever someone who really wants it is willing to pay for it. I sold a fort for a ridiculous amount too. It's in a pretty neat spot to boot. It's pretty clear, from numerous other sale threads in recent memory, that people have this type of gold readily available.
Not everybody needs a fort. You just saw yourself how cheap wonderful property can be bought here, e.g. Minoc Stable small. Another example I recently thought about, Barrier Isle for 1.25mil: http://uorforum.com/threads/sold-barrier-isle-in-trinsic-for-1-25-million.15224/ Let's face it, you can get really good housing here without much trouble, just not such a excellent fort on gras. And if you wouldnt drop all your stuff regularly, or invest your mils in hair dye, you could afford forts without problems. I hope this thread can return to it's original purpose, although I fear, that this is difficult after all that crap posted before. Perhaps the forum admin should hand out some warnings after all I have seen so far (no, I dont mean Jack).
Since I now already have a CY rune, I would be interested if the price dropped to around 8m. It's a cool spot, good luck with your sale! Good on bart for reminding punt to lock his doors.
He said it wasn't secure, you're just trying to derail the thread which should risk your trade forum privileges.
