First things first, drag the picture screen to the top left corner. When placing a house, put yourself just in front of the house, perhaps just off the side of the steps. Houses take one extra space around the perimeter, and can't have any hard un walkable areas like trees, hard bushes or rocks, or height variations

What's reasonable? Someone wanted to sell me a brick house that's already standing for 200k which is a little over a 25% markup. Would anyone sell one for 170 or 175K?
Why buy a large brick when you can buy a villa or a villa + cabin that are next to each other? (see my sig)
One thing I know about large bricks are there are a decent amount of tiles near the center that you'll be safe from anyone outside- whether spellcasting or throwing explode potions in. Anyone know of the spot SD is talking about?
