UO:Renaissance - Thieving perfected (ongoing thread)

well.... was it a secret scheme? probably just people are too careless. I often leave idle char after the events, but always bank valuables that I don't want to lose.
And I think that all the victims are aware of the scheme after they were robbed.

If they didn't learn from the first time then your post here is just too kind, you should have continued stealing from them until they get the basics themselves

Haha your runebook method seems much more productive than my running from spot to spot tracking for characters. Nicely done friend!

@TooOldforthis: I am doing this since 2014. You are right, every victim should know it afterwards, and some are most likely thieves themselves... People dont get it or simply forget the coins or whatever.

One of the reasons I publish it is because it's getting old. I've done my share of Post-NoH stealing and claim it's origin with this post. Shall other thieves follow my footsteps or players improve their gameplay... I am fine with that.

Word went out on the streets of Sosaria that a man was inquiring about great ancient treasures.


Having been on a dry spell lately, I ventured out to investigate the rumors. Arriving at the home of said Sosarian, I quickly settled in for the long haul. After shadowing them for some time, it became apparent that these men were no amateurs when it came to the great unknown treasures.


Just when I was beginning to lose all hope and growing weary, I heard shuffling within the home as the men prepared for battle. Emerging from the house I quickly checked their packs, discovering an odd green map that HAD to be mine! I wasted no time making my move just as they were preparing to leave. The man on foot gave chase for some time but quickly lost hope as we ran through the jungle.

Well since my cover is blown, I will share this short story. I Was making my routine runs when I ran into Woody and friends doing the Despise champ. It was a typical heist....Woody Gated to his house, ran through the doors ever so fast, removed his barrel but must have forgotten to place it back down, and TADA~ Lucky for him I had work in less than an hour and couldnt get all the loot. END RESULT = About 10k ea reg, 1k ea POT, Tons and tons of dyed bone armor, bag full of power weps, and thats about it!

Well this is my first heist, it didn't go all that well, but was extremely fun.I don't have many screens as I was quite unprepared for this, but i thought id post anyway.

It all started by stealing a rune labeled "house" from an unsuspecting person at a bank. After recalling to this house, it was empty, nothing to be gained even if entry could be made. Ran tracking for fun, popped up 3 people. went towards the people, and what do i find? an unlocked house, with some goodies.


After attempting to locate some loot and stupidly grabbing some already, the owner came home



He figured out somneone was in there, revealed and banned me, but i got away with two bags.



might not have gotten much, but it was still insanely fun and thrilling.

A chance encounter with a man sleeping while sitting on a horse netted a couple desirable slayer instruments

By the Virtues that man looks an awful lot like the demon crazed man running around chopping people up.

It was Tuesday afternoon around 2pm. Jerome Jackson was ordered to scout RRG mines for illegals. He ran past Mine #4 and checked inside. "ANYONE IN HERE?" Jerome yelled. "PAPERS OUT". Mine #4 was all clear.

Since he was north of Minoc he decided to take a walk near Azoth's fortress to ask for some back taxes owed for operation of Mine #6. He knocked on the door. No one answered.

Standing in front of Azoth's palace Jerome noticed movement at the corner of his eye and saw a large steel door swing open from a nearby keep. He quickly ran up to it and stealthed in.



"It must be my lucky day, The RRG boys will have to excuse my tartyness, this here house needs to be robbed".

He stealthed around noticing that most items were secure and guarded by a strange looking purple fella. Jerome walked upstairs and then went out the second floor doors of the keep. "Ahh jeeze nothing but empty boxes"



"Wait whats on the roof of this keep?" Jerome thought to himself "Mining Equipment!"

Jerome quietly climbed the latter to the roof and looked through all the goods. It was Jerome's lucky day.




One thing Mr Jackson likes to do is share opportunities like this with his friends. So he Com Crystaled for Guild mate Pockets & his house robbing mentor BlackEye.

"This is Big Jerome Jackson, anyone listening?" Jerome paged.

Silence... .

"BlackEye" Blackeye Responded.

"Inside some purple dudes house, going to need help unloading a ton of mining equipment, Meet in front of RRG keep and I'll send a gate" Jerome said into the com crystal.

Jerome opened the gate and his good friend Blackeye Stealthed through.

"Here are pouches, unload all the shovels into them" Blackeye said.

Jerome and Blackeye spent the next 30 minutes sorting through all the goods and stacked anything worth keeping.

Blackeye opened a few gates and transferred all the loot.

"Most epic loot, good job Jerome" Blackeye said.
