Trained Detect Hidden from 0-GM inside a house. Toon no longer receives "You can see nothing hidden there" message. All other characters on account can and do still receive the correct message though, just not the toon who GM'd in the house.
He is a friend of the house right? Is the character apart of the house owners account? I have GM detect and still see the message.
Correct. The toon is co-owned to the house as well. I can attest that the skill was working 100% correctly and as-documented prior to willfully gaining in the skill. I have since restarted the client, rebooted my machine, etc. with no luck in resolving. It seems to be related to just that character. Again, all other chars across all 3 accounts get the correct message, just not this one.
Is it in your journal text? EDIT: It does not show in the journal, also. I would guess a message is just not getting sent or too many things are being sent to the client at once. It'd be interesting to track this one down, actually, as its possible that something is getting dropped. I've noticed this on my detect character in public houses. I'll check in smaller houses and see. EDIT #2: Alright, so this is different than what I thought. I went to a public house with a ton of trapped items, and did not get the message. I went to a public fortress, and did not get the message. It seems that it is either the type of the house that matters, or the number of items in the area, possibly. It looks like type, though, from what I can tell. By type, I mean how "old" the house is. I tried this in 2 public towers. One that is old, and one that is new placement. I got the correct message in the old tower. I did NOT get the message in the new tower. I get the correct messages when I am not friended to the towers, also.
Correct, it does *not* show up in the journal either. The "too many things" theory might not hold in that it only affects one character of one account. It is still reproducible as well.
Another bug seems related in issue, as it occurs on the same character as the above issue: Oddly enough, it only affects the secure containers of the house. I can lock down and release everything else. thanks @Gideon Jura
