The llama is the premier animal of Ultima Online and indeed the world. Few know, however, that there are great variety of llamas. The mission of Number One Animal [NOA] to protect, promote, and admire llamas, and with that in mind we present to you the UOR public this guide to the varieties of llama. Standard Llama This is your standard llama. It can be ridden and only occurs naturally in the wilds of the Lost Lands. This standard llama does not care for the needs of humans, but will, in exchange for apples, allow a human to ride upon it. FACT: The standard llama lays an egg once per year. It does not, however, reproduce by these means. Instead, it just enjoys a good omelet. The Pack Llama The pack llama, unlike the standard llama, is amiable and willing to help humans at no cost. Indeed, the pack llama will literally carry the burdens of its master. However, it often fantasizes about kicking said master in the throat. FACT: The pack llama is misnamed. It has no packs. Instead, it stores your wares in a naturally-occurring, fleshy sack much like a kangaroo holds it offspring. The Ultima Online client, perhaps to make the game less disgusting, neglects to depict both this fact and the resulting gooey coating that covers goods stored in this manner. Poison Llama The rare and dangerous poison llama is feared by all (except people who can cast dispel). Where poison llamas comes from, no one knows. You may not ride the poison llama, and it will attack anyone and everyone on sight. The poison llama is, at its name suggests, poisonous. It is also, at its name does not suggest, purple. FACT: The poison llama will only remain in Sosaria for a minute or two at most. They must return to their home in some unknown dimension to feel certain that they put out a candle that was lit earlier in the day. They just can't shake the feeling that it still burning with no one around to watch it. The Forbidden Llama You may not ride the forbidden llama. It is forbidden. FACT: You may not ride the forbidden llama.
