Ever since the power katana crisis in 2016, these things are hot commodities now.

Although he didn't have any "phat lewtz" at the time of the murder, I did ensure to tea bag his corpse for a good 13 seconds before leaving.

Not much, but after a few failed attempts I considered this one a personal challenge. It took a few weeks, along with my brother Buster acting as a decoy, and me rifling through piles of things to find a nice big ol' set of runebooks before running off.

Figured you had 2 people running them.

Still pretty disappointed you didn't bring the cake we've been talking about.

Glad I kept it a personal challenge and our banter was fun.

Once again good job pal heh

A wedding for the ages took place in the life of Pockets, leaving him with little time for his craft. What time he did manage to put in was only able to net him a few shiny coins. First in the depths of Destard, where his compadre Snap Dragon (in disguise) assisted a tamer in distress with an Azure Dragon. Fortune would shine on them as she received a Platinum coin from the kill and Pockets snagging a Platinum coin as well from his mark. Later, a lone bard would see his new treasures snatched from his grasp by a blur of a man riding an ethereal llama.

As the day turned to night and Pockets grew weary, he made one last stop at his old stomping grounds: the Hedge Maze. A sloppy recall left him visible to a hidden dexxer wielding a fancy slayer axe. Luckily for him, the man's nerves were settled when he saw Pockets disappear into the darkness. A quick snoop of the pack revealed a platinum coin to be taken. Instead of the easy target, he waited for the warrior to recall, leaving his weapon exposed to the elements where it was quickly plucked from his pack. In a blink, Pockets had teleported to the comfort of a nearby bench where he enjoyed his new steel. A happy ending saw the man purchasing his axe back at fair value.

    Hi everyone!

Great thread! I'm glad something like this exists. I want to contribute as I play a thief. Now I must forewarn you that my stories won't presented in the same way Pockets, Random, Silas Blackeye, and other great thieves of this thread. I do not possess their story telling abilities nor their expertise of the thief class. I hope the actual steady stream of content over my time here will sort of make up for that though.

I will start off with a house entry.

The first belonged to someone named Balian.

Balian and someone else in Occlo were chatting it up near the Occlo marble house. After listening to their chat for a few minutes, farewells were given and Balian opened up a gate. I brazenly followed him through it.

It led me to a tower with multiple players in the house. A chance for me to make some new friends?! Challenge accepted!

    badthief2.png

I hung back to monitor how Balian entered the premises. The first time he entered the house, he appeared to do so properly, leaving me 0 space to sneak in as well. He raced up and down the stairs a couple of times. Gathering goods for his next adventure perhaps? He seemed undecided as where to go next as he made several more entrances and exits, often times leaving the doors wide open for substantial amounts of time. I thought to myself, what a careless house owner?! If there was ever a chance for this newbie thief to enter a house, it was this one! During another sloppy entry, I managed to sneak in undetected. Success!!

    badthief.png

And what a marvelous looking house. Balian seemed unaware of my presence as I didn't get revealed. He left the tower one last time and recalled off.

Now I had the house all to myself, well sort of . I think the other players were AFK in there. Anyways, decided to start to take a look around.

    badthief3.png

Mostly junk here. As i browsed for unsecure chests for something of value that wasn't locked down, a PK named 'ExtraStrength' started to cast earthquake from the outside. I was injured and revealed but hid again as not to disturb Balian's friends. I could hear ExtraStrength beginning to cast Meditation so he could Earthquake again. I had to hurry! This was my first house entry and I was being rushed! With little to no reagents, I didn't even bother healing myself as I wanted to make sure I could recall away. After being earthquaked an additional time and approaching impending death, I took a bag full of slayer weapons (nothing great) and instruments and recalled off. I surely hope the owner doesn't mind. ;)

Edit: Multiple edits, told you I'm crappy at this :D

    Another story!

I was making my usual rounds but wasn't having much luck finding a mark. Most places seemed empty. I did, however, find Mike Tyson's corpse in the Terathan Keep swamps

    1_thief.png

But it appeared that he already recovered his corpse.
I continued on, searching high and low for a potential steal. I hadn't had any decent luck all day.

Then, in Moonglow, I had some luck with Tracking which led me to an unfamiliar person, Luther.

    2_thief.png

I hurried to see where they were.

    3_thief.png

Ah, inside the Inn. Perhaps taking a rest? I ran right to him, hid myself, and snooped him.

Inside his main pack was the following:

    4_thief.png

3 BoDs. InnocentCrafter isn't into completing those. Too much work if you ask me.
I then took a peek inside their other backpacks, and was blown away at what I saw next:

    6_thief.png

BoDs upon BoDs. What in the world?! Did I stumble upon a AFK BoD collector I'd be hearing about? I have never snooped a pack with contents like these. But I figured it would make a pretty penny for this newbie thief. Besides, this seemed like way too much work for Luther to complete all on his own. If you ask me, he appeared overwhelmed. I decided, I should help lighten his future workload.

    5_thief.png

I had to block line of sight from that pesky Innkeeper who already screeched for the guards once on me already. I started to use Walls of Stone as seen above.

This however, was draining my mana rapidly and I was running low on Blood Moss.

    7_thief.png

I decided, I need to speed this up some how. Then an idea dawned on me, crates! I need to trap that bothersome innkeeper so I can be more efficient and just steal every 10 seconds. I visited my local Carpenter and gathered several small crates from him. With the Innkeeper tucked away and no other online players in sight, I continued stealing and made away with a hefty BoD collection.

High demand for the rare blue pelt of the Azure Dragon has had the The Warden working overtime. This day would be no different from many before as the vile poacher and venom expert known as Steve Irwin hoped to slay one of these beasts with the help of his 'assistant'. The two men grew anxious as the dragon exhaled its final fire breath, dropping platinum coins into their packs. With no backup in sight to bring these men to justice, The Crooked Warden did was he always does in this case. Just as the men summoned a gate to Skara Brae bank, he slipped the coin from Steve's backpack, jumped the gate to Skara and hid just as the assistant was making his entrance. Not wanting to alert the men of his whereabouts, he made a quick exit back through the gate just as it closed, stealthing away with the confiscated goods.

Another slow day for me. This just happened though, thought I'd share.

Landed in Minoc to find Pepe Silvia AFK with a blessed Deer Mask inside of a pouch of their main pack. Well, I'm sure you can guess what happened next:

    thief_1.png

    __

    thief_2.png

The pack I was going to steal contained 2 other pouches that were trapped. I was just making sure it wouldn't be too heavy for me to steal the main pouch. The loud explosions didn't seem to alert my mark.

    thief_3.png

    A little wall action going..

    thief_result.png

.. and I'm starting to look a bit cooler =)
