Just tried with a regular tub - this is the message I got:

Furniture dye tub, to dye gift boxes.

You can use regular dye tubs to change the colour of holiday wreaths, maybe that's what you were remembering?

Where do people find ranger armor anyway? And whats the special attributes of them if any?
