Need to add new art to the client, requiring a client patch to get this working. That's why this isn't an easily coded thing.
For starters, that would shit on the rares collectors who like those silly things. Beyond that, it would definitely allow players to craft fully automated runebook copy macros a hell of a lot easier. More to the point though, what great benefit would this provide to players new and old? Runebooks are cheap, runes are cheap and no one but runebook makers carry piles of blanks around anyway. So basically let's keep them working for that money so the market for those runebooks isn't trashed by an additional lazy mechanic.
