You can't say "ah the characters have Chinese sounding names so the guy must be Chinese!". The race of a game char doesn't indicate the player's race. I have an entire group of crafters called the al-Kirby family (Farukh al-Kirby, Singh al-Kirby, Malik al-Kirby, etc). Those names are obviously of Arab descent, yet I'm a white dude from Texas. Farukh is actually named after my boss, Farrukh (had to nix an "r" to make it fit the char name length)

Again: BE PATIENT. Every member of the staff volunteer their time n efforts here. No One, zero get paid or profit. All monies donated to server go to the server. Paying for the physical server etc. Folks who can donate get their name in orange on forums. Period. No in game perks, etc.

Chris/Telamon works full time, has a wife....does this in his spare time. Real life comes first.

PM him again on forums n irc. He gets tons of messages, so might have missed your first ones. Or, just hasn't had time to do anything about it. Do not rage out, criticize, etc.

Remember good things comes to those who wait.

newme is stalling...I think it was her. How did she acquire Wispelt village anyway? *eyes her suspiciously*

Seriously though good luck. One question. Did one of the Changs own the new large brick? Maybe when the house owner was deleted it fell (that's a thing right?) and someone noticed and grabbed the spot. If that is the case there may be nothing that can be done.

If you made your log in name and your password the same letters, then you're dumb.

I've guessed like 20 player accounts already just by name/pw same combo.

Why are you actively attempting to hack into other peoples accounts?

    Why does anyone do anything?

Because we can, that's why. It's also what leads people to be smarter and sharper.

    ps.

If you make your ln/pw UOR/UOR or something similar then you deserve it. It's also not hacking. It's guessing, hacking involves knowledge and work on a binary level.

I've literally been told by people that they have, for several years, attempted to login to a shitton of 'generic' accounts on various freeshards. Shit like abcabc/abcabc or whatever. While I never validated any of the claims, from what I understand it has resulted in some very profitable results.

Back in the day I'd visit imanewbie, wtfman, etc and look at the guestboooks, then try to reopen any closed email addresses associated with the guestbooks. I then used the UO.com site to do pw retrievals and then log into the accounts on free UO weekends to loot them of vet rewards/wealth which was sold for thousands of dollars total.

Moral of the story: People are bad, be smart, make your passwords hard to guess. Be aware that any email address you let close can lead to access to any of your info if it be UO, FB, etc etc.
