    Hi guys,

I've gotten different replies on this question on IRC and in game. Was wondering if someone can give concrete answer.

Whats the minimum show-real skill needed for someone to transfer a Nightmare to me, and for me to RIDE it? I do not plan to use any commands for it to kill, will just get off to feed then hop back on.

Do I need animal lore as well, if i do not plan to heal or command.

It will just be purely cosmetic lol.

For those interested my build currently:
    100 Blacksmith
    100 Tailor
    100 Tinker
    100 Carp
100 Hiding (might swap out for Fletching)
    75 Magery
    45 Music

180 skill points left to use to ride nightmare

Skill cap here is 700, with that current build you have 80 skill points left.

That said, if you drop hiding you might be able to ride one with gm lore/80 tame or 90/90. Not sure, I've never tried. It's a lot of work for no gain.

You should consider an ethy nightmare or, a frenzied ostard. I have one that is the same color as the light colored mare.

I bet you could get the taming to ride it, then drop taming and lore both to 0, and just "don't ever dismount".

(probably, test it on test center maybe first)

Didn’t you ride a polar bear for a long time...oh wait, then came Dalavar, wasn’t it?

Yeah I just checked and all 3 of my crafters are on horses that are nearly four years old.

omg polar bear, thts even cooler than nightmare lol. My char is a crafter so maybe i can ride one and never leave town.

So far no one can confirm if i can tame/ride a nightmare than drop the skill?

I realized I need GM mining for the smelting :( so annoying... so maybe riding a nightmare is not possible :/

once you have GM'ed mining on your crafter you could always make another 'gatherer' or 'battle miner' to collect ore for you.

It's cute that you people think crafters are safe. Mike Tyson once said "everyone has a plan, until they get hit".

lol IKR but my thought process is whenever I see a crafter or mule working, I think to myself that if I kill him, that saves my crafter a day's worth of work, by taking what he has on him. :)

Run around with war mode on and tick the box in razor that says 'block dismount in war mode' simple :)

If I see a crafter on a nitemare, I will kill him just on general principles alone. This is a pvp/pk server, and crafters running around on dragons undermines that message.

Use Razor to open doors and you wont have to worry about accidentally double clicking your pet.
