Dearest friends of BadYin, It was my intention to secure this noble dragon's freedom and reintroduce him back into the wild to live the rest of his days upon the whims of his own free will. But now I see that nefarious people with deeper pockets than my own want to either enslave (let's call "bonding" what it truly is) or turn him into tasty soup. As Sarah and I work through our grief, I'll leave you all with the following excerpt... Once tamed, can he really be re-introduced back into the wilds... would that be the humane thing to do. He was surely ridiculed and picked on by his bigger, stronger brethren. The only chance at happiness for him now is to live a long full life as a soul bonded companion of a good adventure.... That or as a soup... no shame if your life's purpose is to ensure the survival of others through your tasty bones.....
Absolutely he could be released back into the wild. While I agree with you that he was picked on by the bigger dragons, my goal was to release him into a dragon-less area of Brittania full of tasty critters he can hunt. But alas, that dream is gone...
