No sir, I just think the hassle of having 3 screens up of fear of being jailed doesn't make sense. or someone accidentally hitting the wrong gump being jailed, makes no sense. I understand the anti afk gump for gathering resources that could damage the economy, that makes perfect sense. In this case, there is nothing to gather besides raw fish steaks, which NOT ONE vendor on the entire server sells. (I'm sure someone will go throw steaks on their vendor as we speak to prove me wrong lol). But, no, Sir, I do not afk fish.

Like we have already told you...

People can make macros to loot MIBs, AMIBs, maps.. etc.

It absolutely would destroy the economy.

Sorry you don't like our opinions, but they aren't changing on the matter. And I can 99% guarantee Chris isn't going to change this.

I 100% respect your opinion, but no, this can't be done. if chris likes it the way it is simply because he just likes it, then that's good enough reason for me.

Can't be done? Are you sure about that?

Are you calling Larloch a liar?

Shots fired. And it can be done bro.

    No fancy looting macro required.

sea serpents : 1/400 chance of plat drop directly into your pack
deep sea serpents : 1/200 chance of plat drop directly into your pack
lock lake monster: 1/2 chance of plat drop directly into your pack

If this were possible, everyone would just lock their fishermen at 99.9 and do this.

I don't think that platinum from sea serpents and deep sea serpents falls into your pack, but it has been a while since I did serious fishing so I could be mistaken.

Lock lake monsters do not spawn from regular fishing, only fishing nets.

I'm all for logical reason as to why the afk gump makes sense for fishing, but people saying it's been this way before you got here, and you've not been here long enough for chris to change anything because you don't like it, and we like it cuz it's the way it's always been, etc etc is just craziness.

Yes, you could do this, but would only be able to loot nets, mibs, and tmaps. Which in the grand scheme of things is pretty weak. The real money is in the Amibs, which you can only spawn with GM fishing. The gump is designed for the Amibs, not the garbage. Are we done here?

I came in here to vote "yes, it should be exempted" but realised this is the truth. And I vote as an active 3x fisherman who has so far twice fallen foul of the system and served jail time.

    Sorry, Cheapsuit.

people are voting no because they are under the assumption that this is possible, but it's not. We all grew up thinking there was a santa clause too, but logic taught us that there isn't. This fear of the boogyman afk fisherman is as false as santa claus.

True, but everyone is this thread except Larloch, knows damn well the boogyman afk fisherman doesn't exist. They voted no for other reasons.Whatever that is.

It's very possible. The grump Is literally one extra click of a mouse & ensures the above doesn't happen. I get your argument I casually fish when at work ect. But no.

Despite it being against the rules, EUO can be used to automate the fishing process and loot aMiBs/rares/platinum.

The AFK gump prevents this entirely, so that everyone is on an even playing field even if they choose to break the shard rules.

Well if that's the "reason", then there should be an afk gump for everything we do, including farming mobs. EUO can also automate mob farming.
The afk gump was implemented to protect the economy. I vote to have the gump pop every 5 mins no matter what we're doing.
