Night of Horrors Challenge Event - Halloween 2017

This exact strategy being employed by others is the reason my tamers are burning off counts and I'm sorting some new silver weapons.

Seriously though guys, if you are new to this and are just in it for the drops... you may be setting yourself up for disappointment.
Play the long game and grind fun. Drops will be a passive bonus.

I guess i'm thankful others have had this problem too, not to say i'm happy you're not getting HC either. I don't think the HC drop rate is that extreme for the specific event monsters, i think i saw it is typically like 1/25 or 1/33 on most the non-mini boss mobs unique to the event. Based on what I've killed and top damage dealt those odds should have me at 20-25 coins at a minimum, not 1.

Initially i thought maybe i was missing something, but the responses seem to indicate you need a specific build (provo dexxer) to farm effectively and out damage the other farmers in the GY.

I think it might just be wiser use of game time to battle mine or farm deserted usual spots during the event and just buy HC later if i need it.

@Merek Tybalt Hcoins are only dropped specifically from the mini-bosses and bosses in the graveyards. All types and zombies, ghosts, non-blood skeletons will NOT drop Hcoins.

I have seen many players lure vampies, blood skellies, and other mini-bosses away from the lesser mobs to farm the 1/1 Hcoin drops. Only 1 Hcoin per mini-boss and only 5 Hcoins per boss (that 5 always goes to one player). If your not doing top damage while fighting in a group, you may never see any Hcoins. My ossytank and other dexxer/tamers have been able to acquire Hcoins.

According to this the event unique zombies and skeletons and others DO drop HC coins at a rate of 1/20, 1/33, 1/50 etc.

I have killed solo countless of these and not seen a single HC drop from any kill. Is that list and drop chance no longer accurate?

RNG is a bitch. I repeat, only kill mini bosses. Every time you waste time swinging your silver sword at a non-mini boss mob, somewhere in Sosaria a powergamer sheds a tear.

I'm going to continue playing my meta-game and hope that one day you'll get on my level.

I've gotten HCs off regular mobs but it's more of a rare sight to see.. don't waste your time

Chris' post says the event lasts until 11/4 but the schedule only shows runs until 10/29. Does a second schedule get posted with additional dates or is it just the overland spawn that lasts until 11/4?

This is my first year so I'm not sure what the precedent is.

It'll be over after this weekend. The overworld spawn will last couple days after event

It might be that the overland event is until the 4th, but the NoH events ends before.

Yeah I seem to remember finding the odd leprechaun long after the official end of the St. Paddy's Day event earlier this year.

That is likely to be because a mob spawned during the event had not been killed. This is a little different.
