No idea how much these go for; couldn't find any old selling threads on it. If anybody has a rough idea what they're worth, feel free to let me know even if you're not interested in buying.
Got a couple yesterday and was curious what the use of them was. So they are just a regular bow able to shoot 2 more tiles?
Pretty much. I'm not going to keep paying 10 for them and haven't seen Mavis around since this was posted. I'll still honor the deal but otherwise, I'll do 1k each on them. I just found a bag with about 10 in an alt's bank.
Currently the differences between normal bows & the orcish bows are that while standard xbows have a range of 8 & bows a range of 10, the orcish bows have a range of 13 tiles. They are the same quality as normal bows & xbows which are found as loot (normal, non-exceptional) however cannot have magical properties. Using an orcish bow at the moment consumes 2 arrows for every shot, however if im not mistaken this was deemed a bug & is on the waiting list to be fixed.
MavisBeacon I will still give you the 10k for your single bow, as agreed. Ezekiel....xbows are only 8 tile range? I thought all bows/xbows were 10 and the Orcish was 12. Thanks for the updated info.
All crossbow types have a standard range of 8 tiles, I imagine this was done to balance out the higher damages vs bows while leaving normal bows a range of 10 with lesser damage ranges but slightly faster speed.
Blaise: When I see you on IRC, we'll settle up for the Orcish Bows (I just found another) and the feathers if you still want them. I'm fine with the 1k per orcish bow price, up to you.
