    Hello,

I will be wiping my hard drive in order to put on a new operating system with a clean install in 2 days. Is there any way that I can save my razor settings when I reinstall UO Renaissance on the fresh OS?

Any advice appreciated, feel free to write back or PM.

    Thanks,
    Luven

    C:\Users\YOURCOMPUTERUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming
be sure security settings for that folder allow you to see all of the folder's contents (if Razor appears "missing")

from there you may copy your profiles and macros for a thumb drive or cloud storage

Thank you Wylwrk, that is definitely close to what I need.

I should have specified that I am on a Macbook Pro, and not sure where the razor profiles and macros are found. It looks like your instructions would be correct for a PC install. So, if anyone has done this on an apple computer, I am still looking for tips.

    Thanks,

    Luven

Show package contents > Drive C > Users > Wineskin > Application Data > Razor

    Thanks Vandalin,

That helped a lot. I found the package contents, which I now remember fooling with when I hard-coded some macro-stuff back when I first started on the shard. Unfortunately, I am not so young anymore and I forget things when I do not use them for a little while.

I actually have three separate installs of the UOR Mac package. I believe I will try to back up the entire app folder for all three, and additionally backup just the razor settings for all three as a fallback. Hopefully between the two backup sets I can get everything running again once my machine is clean and new on the inside.

If anyone else has done this before, or has any additional advice, feel free to pm me or post. You have been incredibly helpful.

I haven't performed my backup yet. I have a feeling like I might need to reinstall UOR from the website Mac download package rather than just copy over an app folder.

Is this correct? Will simply repopulating the contents of my application data>Razor folder restore all of my user profile and settings?

Thanks again for your patience with me :)

You can try the first way but i think you will have to re-install from the download x3. As long as you have your macro/profile docs saved you can paste them into the correct folders after this is done, though. I still haven't found an easy/reliable way to do this on a mac so this is only a suggestion.

Yeah, that's about what I figured.

I think I will back up the entire three individual application folders, perform three fresh reinstalls after the wipe, and then try to repopulate the required personalized folders from the backups. Hopefully I can get everything running again without too much trouble.

    Thanks again!
