I friend my other 2 accounts to my houses, but then they are unable to place or remove trash barrels. Considering that I can not friend a character to more than 1 house nor can I friend them if they own a house, I would like to see them be able to place and remove trash barrels. Blocking access with a trash barrel is an intricate part of house security here on this server, and friends IMHO should be allowed to do so.

If so, remove permanent house bans.

House security! In exchange for making it easier for house owners to secure their homes, house looters should get something in return, not being permanently banned from a house they sneaked in to.

    I don't agree with this.
    1. You can co own your other chars to the house and place them that way.
    2. Some people share houses with others, so they friend them for access. They can than make a wall and place a trash barrel to block off access to friends & lower so they have a area to place valuables where only coowners and above can access.

At the moment, everything is already very cool, so many attempts at manipulation for seeming convenience will be an addition to the vulnerability!

Can only get banned from a house you sneak into if you get caught. Banning is a very "god like" way to keep people from entering your house, but truthfully, is only disliked by people who want to enter someone else's house for negative reasons. Stealing stuff while the player is offline of killing the player. Both of those reasons are a bane to the server, and blocking that player permanently if they fail their attempt is a fitting penalty.

I don't know where you got your information but that's^ pretty much all incorrect.

Your characters can be friended to an unlimited number of houses.

House owners can be friended to houses.

You can even get all your house owning characters co-owned to your main house with a little house juggling, unless you have like 15 properties. They will remain co-owned to houses if they become a house owner after being co-owned.

I voted "no" but not because I don't think that it is annoying to not be able to get beyond the table wall with all of my alts, but because I think there is a better way to do it. IMO the simple solution is to allow house owners to become co-owners. It is already allowed if the character becomes a co-owner before owning a house, but not the other way around.

The only workarounds I have found thus far are:
    - Don't own too many houses and have them all on the same account (so that at least everyone on that account is automatically co-owned to each others' houses)
    - Don't have your mains as house owners. Have your fishers, crafters, etc. own houses so that your mains that you will be using most often will be able to be co-owned to all houses.
    - Transfer houses around among your characters until you get the configuration you want, however this gets annoying if you want to friend other players to your houses and also if you decide to move.

I would rather not have friends be able to axe a trash barrel or table wall so that I can be a little more careless about who I friend, but only co-own people I really trust. But I have to admit there have been instances (e.g. a scorpion taming house in the compassion desert) where it would have been nice to be able to allow a friend to get through the trash barrel.

I voted no for these same reasons. House security is nice the way it is.

That's an incorrrect word in my statement, I typed friend when I meant co-own... You can not be made a co-owner of more than 1 house nor if you already own one.

Ah understood. You can be a co-owner of multiple houses though, I have many characters who are.

Leopold makes the most sensible suggestion for a 'fix' by letting owners co-own, but I don't know if it will ever change.

Also. The account you own the house with, can be accessed by all the other toons on that account and have automatic co ownership without having to even be added.

While seemingly true, this is technically false. Another house owner can be a co-owner of a home. How? Make a character a co-owner of your home. Then take that co-owner out and place a new home. Voila.

I didn't say "I can't place a house if I already co-own", I said "if you already own one." that you can't be made a co-owner to another.
    So my statement IS correct...

Just juggle the houses and get all ur chars co-owned. Shouldn't take much longer then it did to make this thread.
