I agree 100%. T2A could really be better used. There is a lot of open spaces and little valleys where a spawn could be. Why not drop a 5 Lich + 1 LL spawn in the city of the dead. The Daemons/Balrons in the fire is a great idea. How about a big pirate camp somewhere on a beach with bosses found in AMIBs...

How about a spawn of krakens and serpents in the water somewhere with a chance to spawn a shipwrecked (the one with the AMIB) as a boss...

Or you could make ren era accurate loot drops on npc nobles and make them drop 500-700 gold and gems, and magic items. I made some decent money on osi that way till they nerfed it!!:p

    Stables don’t cost anything?!

If so, this would be an easy change to help get gold out of the economy. Stabling costs could be tied pet stats so that better pets cost more to stable, and the best pets could cost 100k a month. Great way to start getting rid of money and getting people out farming.

Edit: Actually 100k per month might be too low. In the gold per hour thread, tamers say they can make 100k per hour. The right balance of cost would definitely need to be explored. I don’t want tamers getting hosed for having just a few pets - especially brand new players. Maybe only bonded pets incur a stabling cost?

Kind of encourages your casual gamers and weekend warriors to just stop playing tamers. I'd have to vote down any significant cost to stabling, though, part of me wants to "tax" the crap out of those power gamers. :p

Even the most casual of casual gamers can earn 100k in one month to pay for stabling. Maybe 100k isn’t the right number but I think it’s close enough to create a meaningful impact.

Also, you talk about people not playing tamers as a bad thing, but I don’t agree. Almost everyone plays a tamer because it’s a risk free way to farm the crap out of everything with great ease. I think some more diversity in PvM templates would be wonderful. Honestly, though, I don’t see a stabling cost of 100k doing anything to stop people from playing tamers - they’re too dominant in PvM for most to really want to play anything else.

I'd be okay with the 32gold per stable and claim to be honest. Lets us collect what the cup runneth over!

I'd agree with Valrick in the sense that it'd be a charge when claiming/stabling and not some generic fee that would punish you for being busy in real life.

I'm quite late to this conversation, but after reading through what everyone said, and considering my own experiences as purely farming dexxer (I bet some of you who read either cringed or felt some form of pain, lol): I don't believe significantly raising gold drops will improve anything, in fact I think it would seriously hurt the economy, and feed the reds all the more.

What I do think will help the lack of farming by players is adding BoD for killing, adding titles for either amount of a entity killed or tying in the leader board, and decreasing some of the income of what kills farming. That would raise the incentive of farming for sure, I'm sure many players will still choose the established options, but we would see a lot more farmers in the shard. I think if it's enough of an increase in farmers, we could the higher likelihood of farmers grouping up because of the regular amount being online.

I'll always be happy to see my play-style given some love and the reds having a harder time in any form.

While Dragon Swarming the mobs in the lowest levels of the dungeons may be the most lucrative route. Not all of us get the same thrill from that kind of farming.

Whilst it seems better here than on other servers, I believe overland or upper level dungeon mobs could use a pay increase. Lets bump their holdings 100-150% and then even those of us who are afraid of the dark can make a little cash.. :p
