I am getting messages but the prices are all insane. Could you guys please check the forum and make sure you are aware of the Albino prices before you reach out? I am ok to negotiate but Albinos are not 200K or more...
I'm not sure about the pricing, however I will say this is (in my opinion) the most difficult tame to get when completing the tamer scroll. I personally farmed white wyrms until i got one to spawn... and let's just say I was there a while. The next challenge is the difficulty taming this monster. I know I failed taming it easily 100 attempts. And now factor in PK traffic in ice dungeon, between destard and ice I'd say those are the top hot spots when doing pk runs. If I took the time together between farming for the wyrm and failing to tame it once it spawned I could have easily paid the 200k for one haha. I was just to committed to give up. Funny thing is I wanted it for my tamer scroll but it was nearly perfect so I ended up bonding it instead. Just my opinion. If you dont feel like it's worth your time to farm for one then I'd be prepared to shell out some coin for the poor guy who did... or the super lucky dude that happen to run up on one already spawned.
I farmed Albinos multiple times, when they spawn, honestly, they are fairly easy to tame. (Not sure what happened in your situation but I never tried more than 10-12 times) I never had difficulty taming one. I see your point but I have to disagree that 200k is a fair price. ( Also consider the fact that you are killing Wyrms that have semi decent loot, you can collect a lot of leather, magicals, gold etc. etc., so you are essentially collecting decent resources as you are farming Albinos) Not sure if you ever attempted farming Grizzlies, forget about PKs, sure, they can give you bit of a trouble, but try farming Raging Grizzly once... I completed many zookeeper scrolls, farmed every single animal but never managed to find a single raging grizzly. Again, not a single one. And I know I am not the only one failing to find a single untamed one out there. Problem with Raging Grizzly is, you need to find a Grizzly first, they can be anywhere or nowhere. ( I know there are certain spots that have a couple walking around most of the times, but still, a couple you run into every now and then is not a lot of grizzlies) After you kill them, you do not fully know where they spawn again. Even tho PKs are less of a problem with this, if you attempt you will see how incredibly challenging finding a Raging Grizzly out there. Raging Grizzlies sell for 200-250k. Compare that challenge with Albino Wyrms, which White Wyrms spawn super fast, always at the same spot, as long as you have a friend or two waiting there for potential PK runs, you will get one in no time, with 0 problems, so no, 200k is not fair for Albino Wyrms. If you have a perfect Albino Wyrm, we can talk about the price, but for the scroll, the prices vary from 70k to 100k. (Check previous threads on this.) You might think why am I not farming one if it is no problem then, well I have been, but real life gets busy sometimes, I had to cut the farming short twice without getting my hands on one. It has been a busy couple months for me, so I am willing to pay to get one instead.
Oh you had a MOTW. I did not... at the time. I just got one after i saw how shitty it was to tame those albinos without it.
It definitely helps, there is no denying it. But I tamed a few Wyrms with none on, still didnt take hours.
It doesn’t take 100 plus attempts without a MOW. Your exaggerating or had the worst rng on the planet.
That even with a coin flip where the odds are 1 in 2, you can get a surprizingly long streak of the same outcome. I believe White Wyrms are closer to 1 in 20.
Ok I see your point, fair enough, there is a chance it might be more difficult than it's supposed to. But hear me out here if we are doing mathematics at this point. We are comparing a pretty difficult pet to find, Raging Grizzly, which is by default already a long streak of a losing outcome to a potentially difficult pet, that is White Wyrm. One is 200k, how much should the other one be? Let me break down the comparison, you are saying 1 to 20 ratio to a fairly fast spawning pet, that is spawning at the same point all times. No exception. Not sure what the ratio for the Raging Grizzly is but let's just assume it is exactly 1 to 20 as well. ( I think it is worse than 1-20 but let's say it is for the arguments sake), same with Albino. I probably managed to mark 3-4 spawns ( Spawns that are not really Grizzly spawns, but I managed to find 1 or 2 grizzlies half of the time around these spots when I teleport to these locations). So if you are lucky to run into a Grizzly, you might be able to start farming Raging Grizzly. So even tho, in this assumption, the rare spawn rates are the same, you need to be able to find quite a few grizzlies for these two cases to even be remotely comparable. And do not forget the fact that when you are farming Albino, you are looting decent resources for free, which is also not the case for Raging Grizzly. So again, one is 200k, how much is the other one? One is almost always a losing dice roll, the other, maybe, sometimes, perhaps, potentially. I say, 200k is fair for Raging grizzly and 100k is fair (At most) for White Wyrm. Is this not fair?
Oh I'm not commenting on the value of the Albino or any zook pet for that matter, I'm just pointing stuff out. Also, that I wish I had a MoW as well. To be clear: the "1 in 20" figure was supposed to be the "chance of success", in this case for taming a White Wyrm. Just trying to highlight that sometimes the RNG for successfully taming a WW can be a real pain.
Oh sorry if it sounded like I was pointing my finger at you, I was not. I am simply just criticizing the fact that people are trying to sell pets for odd prices. Mine is a simple question really, 100k not fair for Albino? Why pay more? If anybody disagrees, I'd like to hear why. That's all
I had the worst RNG on the planet then. I tamed this ALbino for so long, that I had 3 friends there that were sitting in crafted furniture spectating and waiting for me to tame it.
I honestly think, you simply got unlucky. I failed to tame low level pets multiple times with a MotW on before if that makes you feel better. It happens, but in general that is not the case is all I am saying.
80k is the right price. If I had one i would sell it to you for that, and if you had one I would buy it for that.
