So... I'll eventually be attempting to pvm with my bard. Going solo or with someone else would be fun. Eventually I will make a tamer once I'd gotten more gold and a house. After that I plan on making a pvper.

Are there restrictions to a factioner also pking?
Because I think being pked and pking is both fun in its own right. Sure I hate dying with all of my loot being stolen but it is still a thrill. I agree that people should farm together and share loot which also helps sustain your loot even of any one person gets 50% less and so on.

Anyone who wants to join my in pvm, pm me and let me know. I'm a newer player so I still have to finish training on provo. But i'm.... HYPE! Lol Bring it on pks!

    @Sunrider

If you go red on a faction char you cannot enter town, so it certainly won't be a primary faction char if it is a pk also. Being able to enter towns is required to do most things faction like.

    Good luck out there!

    Is it though?

From my experience with CPU/SOF/SOL, especially the last 2 days, I legit couldn't describe some of their members gameplay as anything other than discouraging and just straight up shitty.

I'm training taming on a new toon at the moment and I'm at the bull pen stage, I've never seen shitter, more discouraging behaviour in all of my time in UO than what CPU/SOF/SOL are doing over at the bull pen.

    To no benefit to themselves.

They're not looking for PVP because they're recalling out when anyone fights back.
They're not looking to farm hides because they're not chopping up the corpses.
They're not looking to collect quest animals because they're killing them too.
They're not looking to bump up their kill counts/get bigger bounties on their heads because they often drag tamed bulls over so the AFK player flags grey and they kill them.

They're killing everyones serpents, dragging away tamed animals to houses on the island so you can't tame any more, blocking the exits on the island so you can't even leave and then rez killing you repeatedly.

So tell me how thats anything other than discouraging? There is literally no benefit to them in anything they're doing at the bull pen.

It's just griefing for the sake of griefing.

I'm not salty about getting killed btw, I'm in the UK and benefit from almost an entire day of CPU/SOF/SOL free time at the pens, I've just started logging off when I see them now as there is no point trying to do anything at the pen.

I'd love for someone in CPU/SOF/SOL to tell me if I'm just not understanding the reasoning behind there actions, I can hold my hands up if I'm wrong, I'm not so arrogant to think that I know everything.

    Blocking exits

Dragging spawn so I'll flag grey and they can attack without taking a count

    Killing serpents

    Rez killing

    More rez killing

    Even more rez killing.

And before you start with the 'THIS IS FEL' hype, guys, I hear you, this is Fel, but what this isn't, is a sociopath simulator as @Chris once described.

This happened a while ago. We had a large group and basically killed everyone. I was getting killed at the previous event so rolled into this event with revenge in mind.

Haven't pkd an event since. Not trying to stir up old drama, but the question was asked and that's the true answer to why there isn't a pk presence at events (from us anyways).

Nice derail attempt. Your "having a bad time at the pens" has nothing to do with event pking.

We can address the bull griefing in another thread if you'd like.

It's not a derail, I was responding to Ponne saying Chris wasn't making any sense and his actions were dumb.

I think that discouraging game play is an issue, it's clearly an issue for you dude as you got jailed for perceived discouraging game play.

I'm giving another example of what I perceive to be discouraging game play so that a discussion can be had about it that could potentially mean more people play reds as they're not concerned about landing up in jail like you did.

I'll even put it in the form of a question, do you think more people would play reds if they were clearer on what's gonna potentially land them in jail?

Like I said, really not looking to derail...genuine intrigue and genuine question completely salt free.

An event happens and people get out there finally... And instead of banding together to fight back reds, the pvmers whine to staff that a group of quarter or less of the size of the whole event is picking on people stopping them from getting their precious pixels. Some people need to man the hell up and learn to play a fel shard honestly.

Just a side note, recent public harrower was a constant blue vs red for over an hour long field fight. It was awesome and fun, and fel does happen.

I truly enjoyed it at least and all sides seemed respectful and no complaining in irc or forums about it.

Not sure where this thread is headed but to say people wont fight reds and reds cant come and play.. nah they can and they do.

And yes I been to many events where blues don't all kill reds cause they may miss a drop, that's on them.

When I grabbed my leprechaunator this year from a corpse in moonglow while some group of reds was fighting some group of factioners and I held it on my cursor and got to bank while caught up in the mix of it.. that happened and was fun, and i dont think anyone was jailed or locked out of the event then.

@Earsnot you could have just left and tamed someplace else. When you macro outside of guard zones, what do you think will happen?

If I were to post a video of you rez killing at an IDOC, shall we gather our panties by the waist and jump off a cliff together in shame?

I did leave, came back a bit later and they came back, so I left, came back a few hours later, they came back.

And yea, I agree, when you macro outside of a guardzone you're gonna get killed. But to kill everyone there, repeatedly, kill serpents, block exits just for the purpose of.......?? That's the bit I don't get, I don't understand the mentality or what's to gain from it.

@wylwrk you are 100% correct, I will kill (or attempt to kill) anyone that isn't a green name at an idoc because I am trying to A - Secure loot and B - secure the placement.
