Luring monsters for Town Masscare (Mainly AFKs) = Exploiting the System?

I got locked a few months ago for causing major havoc by luring lots of dracs into several towns. Chris said I was exploiting the system, inviting me to leave the server if I continued with my actions.

A shard with modified clients, major macro abuse, multiple characters, external communication crap and several other annoyances.. How are all of these better than luring monsters into town?

I've spent a decent share of regs by doing so, managed to strategically avoid the guards and socialized with other players in the process. How is this wrong?

Did afk players die as a result of your actions?

I wish someone would wipe out those dipshits at Brit bank who do nothing but sit there in the same spot for months on end. The bank may as well be empty of people because they sure aren't there.

On a personal level I don't think it's particularly wrong, but if Chris has stated it's wrong for UOR then it's wrong. We're in his sandpit.

It's a question of griefing. Are you doing it cause one of them is holding something of value that you want, or are you just getting your kicks from this? Chris has spoke about it in the past, look it up. Plenty to do here... Just find something else you enjoy.

We don't mind it because those new players macroing skills AFK overnight or while they're at work turn into active, attended players once they've GM'd the skills they're working on creating the content and engaging gameplay you were seeking and also, ironically, preventing.

I can appreciate the frustration with the mannequins everywhere, I find that kinda annoying too. Fact of the matter is we are playing an iteration of UO 18 years later and there aren't a ton of us. The plat reward system and resulting AFKers are a part of the servers success, and you aren't going to defeat that.

Doing this in Occlo, to mostly new players, is extremely lame.

Doing this in Brit/Skara/etc, to established players, is slightly less lame.

Doing this 'to punish AFKers who don't interact with me' ( I'm paraphrasing), is stupid. They will not get a murder count, or anything to tell them why/how they died, teaching them no lesson. New players will leave or complain to Chris. Vets will do it somewhere else.

Doing this anonymously makes you a coward. Post screenshots of your 'kills,' at least take credit for your douchebagerry.

Bottom line: you were asked by the shard owner to stop. If you want to play a shard without AFKers, macroers, client mods *THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU* as all of these things are encouraged/unenforceable.

Really we need to end the plat welfare system. If the shards numbers look bad because of it, so be it.
