Also, I think I asked for Arcane Robes and Cloaks at one point, but without any beneficial properties. Just some nicer looking robes and cloaks for people to wear.
Had to search images to see what those are like, definitely yes to arcane clothing without magic properties!
And those ethereal mounts are equally as abused! How dare stealth templates be given a magical blessed mount! Exploitation and functional use are far apart.
Stealth templates aren't 'given' anything and are not the only templates able to make good use of an ethereal. The fact that you cannot mount while hidden, cast process takes 5s and can be interrupted, makes them unable to be exploited by anyone.
Only if I can spend plat to put murderers in jail for 1 month for every long count they have when they die. Seems fair.
i like the idea of being able to change the color of my dragons, however i hate the idea of using a dye tub to do it. i'd much rather buy an egg which i have to attend to, or have less attractive base hues actually spawn in destard which require me to tame them and breed them to obtain rarer colors. also death shrouds.
Platinum rewards are nice but look at the gold increase on the shard. I say we start adding more gold sinks than neon hair. 1m to dye a dragon, 500k for a death shroud in restricted hues that cannot by dyed (no GM look-alikes)
What about making platinum purchasable with gold, but not sellable back to the vendor? Though the only way I can see this working is if platinum wasn't transferable.
I've thought about it but in the end, I don't think anyone wants administration setting prices on platinum. It's one of those things that people can really see the market fluctuate on depending on the supply and demand. Perhaps setting it way over present market value would suffice? Like 10k per?
Only if the administration keeps up on the supply and demand and adjusts the price on the vendor accordingly. Plat goes for 6k each now, I see it going up here soon.
I think we will have a staff-supported platinum exchange, which is the purpose of CUB right? If that is enacted, and you can turn items into platinum, it should be easy to derive a conversion rate from that. But, I'd rather not see staff supported exchanges directly using gold to platinum... there is a new influx of enough platinum on a monthly basis to cover any reward possible. I think the player interaction involved in vets getting platinum and semi-new players getting gold is a big benefit for all involved.
Honestly, I'm still surprised it sells for that much. Folks pull plenty from the amount of Champion Spawning going on lately. Like a lot more than I ever really expected when it was introduced. People grinding and pulling an ethereal in a month is far more expedient than the design intention of that being equivalent to a 1 year vet reward, or something along those lines. There should be healthy sources of it but I think folks expect far more from activities than they should.
