So you've noticed that monsters have got with the program and now keep their valuables in their own backpack.

This change accomplishes two primary goals.
    • This stops all known auto looting/auto scavenging programs that can provide an unfair advantage.
    • This allows players to easily and quickly loot items from monsters using razor.

This guide will cover how to setup and use a restock agent in razor to make your life easier.

So you have killed some monsters, this is what their corpses will look like now. You will notice things like gems, scrolls, gold, platinum, treasure maps are in the monsters "backpack" container. These containers spawn with most monsters and cannot be removed.
    Loot_02jpg.jpg

From the safety of your home open up razor and navigate to the agents tab as shown below. Select a restock agent and add the various items you would want to loot. Make sure to set the amount of each high, as we want to loot everything available. 10,000 gold, 100 gems, etc. Rather than just having everything dumped in your backpack designate a bag as the hot bag for the restock agent. Everything looted will be placed here.
    Looting_02.jpg

Once the agent is created you can click "Restock Now" and target the monsters backpack.
    Looting_03.jpg

You can also setup multiple restock agents to collect various other items, each directing to a separate hotbag.
    Looting_04.jpg

Since we don't want to have to click "Restock Now" every time we want to loot a monster lets map a hotkey to these agents. Navigate to the hotkeys section of razor and find the agents section. Scroll down to restock agents (not set restock hotbag) and assign a key to each restock agent. Coupled with razors auto open corpses feature now all you have to do is press a single key and target the monsters backpack. This will loot everything on your restock agent list.

And there you go. No more random players running across champion spawns leaving empty corpses in their wake. No more bleeding fingers and blurred vision trying to grab that one last diamond.

Aye, this game was designed to be played at 640x480 resolution. Changes like this are very smart.

I am curious, will this also apply to boss style monsters, as well as event monsters?

So in the event of a top tier boss mob during an event going down, all of those statues/rares/clothes and such will all appear in the container? How does that work with 40 people all dumping restock agents on the container at once? I'm guessing it will function much like the Halloween containers and just cycle through some and everyone will just get what they get?

Just my two cents after playing for a short time... It seems like only scrolls end up in the "backpack," which can be any type of container apparently.

    Usually.

This is correct. Monsters that already exist will not have their own backpack so gold and some other items will still be in their base pack. As they die and are respawned they will function properly.

Clothing style items will always drop in the monsters normal corpse. Special items will always be given to the largest damager using the new system implemented in patch 52 where the top damagers are checked lottery style based on damage.

Everything else will be split between the corpse and monster backpack.

Boss monsters just tend to have more items than normal, but things like platinum, monster statues, etc will always go to the largest damager.

    My bad!

I appreciate all enhancements to the game.

If I add an unidentified two handed axe to a restock agent per yer post, will it take all two handed axes or just whatever that axe would be identified as?

Too bad different scrolls have to be added individually, but eventually I'll get them all.

    Thanks again!

At this time we left weapons/armor and instruments in the root backpack since they are not commonly items targeted by auto looters. Plus for players using the item ID skill or wand this could be a headache to open both containers.

So for now it is just scrolls, gold, gems, etc.

As an added bonus, I will share with the class, my Restock Agent. I've been using this agent to empty dungeon and treasure map chests for a couple years or more now. The only thing this won't loot, that I recall, is bone armor and gold, which I do by hand.

Go to your Start Menu, Run/Search for %appdata% and find the Razor folder. Open it and then open Profiles and find the character profile you want to modify. Right click, Open With, Wordpad (or any text editor that can handle .xml files). Find the five Restock Agent lines and replace the 'list' under the one you want, with the data from the following PasteBin. Note: This is Restock Agent 4 for me, so if you're using a different one, edit that single line out.

Now all you have to do is set that agent to a hotkey and you're pretty much ensured to get everything.
    Enjoy.

I'm not sure its just me but I find out that restock agent doesn't work on basket sometimes. When you target the basket on corpse razor message will tell u that "Restock done, queued 0 items."

Something to note with restock agents, it will only stock up to whatever number you put in the agent.

So, for example, lets say you put gold coins in your restock agent, and for the amount you put 1000. You kill 3 troll with 150 gold in a crate, have 0 in your pack, use the restock -- you're now up to 450 gold in your pack. Now you kill a dread spider with 850 gold, use the restock agent on a basket. You'll only take 550 of the gold now, and leave 200 behind due to the limit of the restock agent.

Now, say, you kill another dread spider, and use the restock agent again. Since you're already at 1000 gold -- the maximum for the restock agent -- you will restock 0 from the backpack on this spider.

I hope this makes sense, it always seems to be difficult to explain on irc.

Ya I know that Corruption, I am using restock agent to restock regs on every character and I use it to loot dungeon chest. I make a new restock agent on my tamer just to loot gold after the patch. I set the amount of gold coin to 99999 just so I will always pick up gold. But it fail to restock sometimes when I use it on basket. It does not always happen.

Ah, ok. Just wanted to make sure that wasn't the case -- it usually is when people experience that. Interesting.

I've noticed this to happen with baskets and kegs if you don't open the container first. Once it's been opened you are able to restock from it.

All of the other containers on corpses restock without needing to be opened first.

Yeah, there's some bug where it won't restock until you've opened the inner container first. In other cases, I've killed some mobs where the gold drops outside the container and the container is empty.

All told, it is truly an inconvenience. I could loot what I wanted (gold) a lot faster before the patch, just by holding shift and click/dragging the piles. This is annoying but if it deters criminal auto-looting, I will adapt and survive.
