Elves getting in the way, everywhere.

I was bashing the head in on some of my favorite NPCs inside their stronghold last night when one started really hurting me... I knew then that we had to stop this madness and soon. The elves and npcs are starting to experience acculturation on Renaissance!

1: cultural modification of an individual, group, or people by adapting to or borrowing traits from another culture.
also : a merging of cultures as a result of prolonged contact

Bunch of racists. We should welcome the elves to sosaria...
And teach them how to lumberjack and mine for us.
Maybe get them picking cotton for us, ya know?

they started to behave different.. this one for example, he just took a sit to enjoy his last moments. i think they are missing the elf land.

As an old player reborn, the elves are new to me and pretty manageable in between the other creatures. Love how the commanders, mages and knights dupe into more, keeps me playing; their drops are solid, as well as their reindeer counterparts. I run all over the map in the middle of the night and its fun to find them randomly spawning in between it all.

I love the special content here for sure, and I have killed a few elves this season. However, it could be argued that they don't necesssarily make the world fun for everyone.
They are heavily skewed due to high health and damage output to benefit primarily taming builds with dragons or mares. Not having one of those yet I tend to find them a nuisance that must be avoided while I hunt other mobs unless I am using one of my mages that can EV/BS them to death. I am sure some will argue that you can melee them as well... I personally do not find a 15 minute ting, ting, ting session all that fun... Hopefully by the next one I will have a good tamer that can roll around farming them like everyone else.

If I am missing the secret to killing them with a build outside the tamer or mage realm that doesn't require a snooze fest to grind down their insane HP total.. please let me know.

@Sapharious tames do 1/4 damage to the holiday monsters. I have been running around with some low-end elf/dark elf slayers on a dexxer to get things done faster. Video link here of my character Keza Rider in action if your interested.

However, the holiday monsters were turned off about 8 hours ago. If people are lucky they might find a few elfs left over.

Ahh ok good to know. Slayer weapons are about as available to me as tamed dragons at this time but I will get some eventually.

I do love your videos and have watched quite a few!

Good they were being stingy last night with their drops anyway!
