The container weight limit right now is ridiculously low... I can't even store 1k of each reg in a metal box or any container for that matter. Why is it so low?

Kind of defeats the purpose of having a house to store stuff - may as well store all your bulk stuff at the bank meaning that if you have multiple characters/accounts then you have to log onto 2 at once and transfer stuff over multiple times.

I don't recall this era ever having restrictions like this. What's the deal here?

If you lock the container down, you have no weight limitation at all. You can afterwards unlock it and move it around, if you want. I believe that this is era accurate.

@r3ckon3r your words are my words man...
Ok i understand it should be lower the storage capability after you secure the chest... BUT
Is ridiculous i not me able to have a secure container with 1k of each reagent... at least this cold be possible

If is era acurate or not, i dont care... Half of the objetcts that fill the space of my house are chests. I am not saying to make possible to storage tons of stones... but just a litle increase something like 1k of each reg and a bunch of another items... i would love to let a restock chest outside of my house but is not viable right now.

This is very much possible. This is my restock secure that I keep outside my house, and here is how I accomplished it.

@El Horno that's nuts. i'm going to have to try this. Can you access that secure barrel all the way at the top of your place? or is it the one near the doorstep?

Yes you can access that barrel. Its essentially just a stair tile, but way the hell up there, Z axis doesnt matter for accessing chests. (easiest way is to just put a ladder from the roof going south over the tile u want and just make a place at 0,0 macro.

Why is it so important to have 1K of each reg in a secure container at all times

The idea is to have regs and stuff in a quick restock location, using razor you can macro to restock your regs / armor / dress quickly.
And it can be somewhere easy to get to, like El Hornos barrel or maybe a bag on the door or patio.

    Really?

Do you not think it would be less clunky to be able to simply restock from a secure container, rather than having to release locked down chests and restock from those?

You don't have to release the locked down chest to restock.

The main difference here is that the secure chest can be accessible from outside, while the locked down chest has to stay inside.

@El Horno so wait how do you get that amount of stuff in there though? I get how you can trick the system into securing 1 bulk box in there. But how would one get the second and third bulk box in there. Let's say you have those leathers already in the barrel. Then you try to add your bulk regs box and secure it. You can't however because it's now registering it has got 300 leather items and x amount of stones over the limit. Wouldn't you just get the system message that you cannot secure it at that point?

While the box is locked down, add everything that you intend to keep in there when it goes into secure mode. Put the bulk of the weight(regs) in one box which will be the one lifted and held while main chest is getting secure. All the other stuff in the main chest shouldnt exceed weight limit for a secure chest. Lift the bulk box, do the ole switcheroo to make it secure, let it drop back in and BAM... restock secure chest set.

That's a lot of barbed leather sets... If you don't mind me asking, how often do you find yourself equipping a new set? Or do you just replace random pieces as they start to break?

    Very cool setup

It's mostly in pvp situations that you would need that kind of setup (the armor). You die, lose a set, restock and get a new one.

In pvm, you res and just pick your stuff back up.

Probably 8-10 sets a week when I was active?I have never lived long enough to have a piece of barbed leather break, and I almost never go back for my corpses. Its just quicker to recall home and restock and start fresh generally.

You need like 6 clients, maybe even more depending on what you are loading, the reason I needed all these clients is because i was dealing with high item counts not just weight. I wanted instruments and tons of barbed suits. Since its a bit of a hassle doing the initial loading, stock up for long term so you dont have to do it frequently. You get the second box in by having someone hold the first box on their cursor. Then once second box is in, hold THAT on another cursor. Then put the third box in, have a friend hold it on their cursor. then put the 4th box in, have a friend hold it on their cursor. Once u got it all placed in the box, then cursored, you secure the primary container and everyone drops what they are holding onto their spellbooks so it bounces back into the now secure container.

like I said, why do you need 1000 of each reg in your restock container - secure or not.
