AFK Murderers - do you give them cheap counts?

Personally, I never count them if they've killed me whilst AFK because I know all they want is a cheap count and are probably very bad at pvp.

1. Understand how the murder count system works here... fully
2. Always give a count
3. Go to step 2

I never give counts period because that's all most reds are after anymore.

Kill me and loot me w/e but kill me res me and don't loot just because you want a count? Stupid.

Step 0.5 : Don't be sitting afk in public areas. Nobody's that interested in seeing all your neon swag on Occlo Row anyway, you're just getting in the way.

Absolutely do not count pks if its an afk kill. When I pk'd it would be so frustrating when people didn't count because I, like most pks, care about the long term murder counts, as it is generally the goal a pk holds. It is SO ridiculously easy to never be in stat, that any attempts to count someone into stat are completely futile @wylwrk, see step 1. If the person is a blue, of course count. But don't give the pks what they want, long term counts to bring up their murder count. Make them earn it with real kills.

Only times I have been afk killed here was while taming bulls in Jehlom pens. I reported all but Jehlom Ripper.. he only passed through once or twice a day. I reported everyone else because they were usually blues opening spots for their tamer or taking out frustration because someone pked their tamer. I watched 2 turn red and then get wiped out by the pen police.

Otherwise my feeling is 3 accts means you could always be pking with one while macroing off counts or skills back with little risk or downtime... so you always get a count from me.

Is it jhelom and town afkers ? Then don't count, pks are just not worthy of those kills.


Any other afker, i.e. macroIng in dungeons or taking a shit during a farm session are fair play and should be killed!

Sure, I'll toss a count their way every time. Why not brighten someone's day when you can?

I still doesn't understand the ethics around counting or not counting when you got killed.. So counting is a way to say "hey thanks for killing me, let some recall regs and save my pets" or is more like "F#ck you pk motherf#$r, i will gonna tell to my mom that you killed me"?

Because killing just to kill seems pointless to me. To me its a form of griefing...Do I appreciate not having to regear? absolutely but why kill me in the first place? Murder counts get you nothing in this game

A good solution to this problem of “report or not report” would be to make every murder count.

Don’t give the option of reporting, but keep the option to place a bounty on the murderer’s head.

The next step would be to maybe look at revamping the bounty system as part of “history perfected”. But then the “era accurate” feathers might get ruffled.
