Hi all, Are defensive robes (i.e. +2AR blessed robes obtained from the reward vendor) medable, or is there a meditation penalty? Cheers, Weyoun
You can med wearing them, but as a side note you don't actually get the +2 AR. The slot that the robe takes up never gets hit.
I don't know if it's a bug or if it's always been that way. @Chris would be the only one to answer that.
This is wrong.... someone told me that and i forgot to take out my defensive robe to train mace with another char and BANG... my defensive got broken.
Maybe your robe was bugged! I've had the same two robes for years and they've never taken a single durability loss.
Nice find, I also assumed that they didn't work based on forum comments. So we can say that a blow can land in robe slot?
yeah i tried to contact telamon but nothing... i got really upset. But i hope is a bug and telamon could give me another one, specially because was a gift.
I've never seen a robe, dress, cloak, or any footwear ever take any damage. Had characters run around for years in just robe and boots and never lose durability. I feel pretty certain that I never seen any paperdoll on the website reflect damage to any of those items on someone's character. I have set up a macer to steady hit an alt with a club and ill see if it takes any damage to my defensive golden robe. Which is quite old and shows full durability currently when I started. Usually can break a piece of armor in a few minutes, I'll give it a couple hours see if I eat this platinum if something has changed about robe slots all of a sudden lol. But it has always been this way as far as I can remember.
Would be nice have a definitive test @Dr Satan! I remember i tried to put the robe on my bag(or it was a box?) and then the robe came back to the paper doll(or not) as usually happens... sometimes i play with my consciousness altered.
@Ahirman @Buga @Dr Satan Guys i think doc is right!!!! i found my defensive robe in a bag with some unidentified items... hahaha sorry!
Hah, forgot to reply back. Yeah mine is still 250/250 and took many hours of club abuse, http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/485095 didn't hurt a thing.
I can’t speak for the robes but my newbie pants and shirt disintegrated on my guy while he was fighting another newbie 1v1 in a house. I didn’t have the robe on.
Aye, anything that is a bottom or middle layer will take damage each time that part of the body is hit, starting with the middle layer and then bottom layer. For example this character http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/26418 a shirt is always a bottom layer item, you can't put it on top of any other item and both be wearable. This shirt has taken over half of it's durability. If I wear a leather chest piece, it covers the shirt, and when stabbed in the chest by a spear the leather chest will take 100% of the damage when both are equipped protecting the shirt from being damaged. Top layers never take damage nor absorb any damage. So the kilt has been worn for over two years, never forted and never damaged, nothing can be equipped on top of the kilt slot, it's always impossible to be hit. Robes, kilts, skirts, dresses, footwear, cloaks and I guess sash's and tunics and maybe doublet? Are all immune to damage, certainly test sash and tunics and doublet as I don't know that for a fact. Masks are always damaged when worn and if hit in the head, shirts and pants are if no armor covers them in the same slot they are worn. Bandana is always at risk to take damage. Edit: cloth items won't protect other cloth items. Wearing only pants, shirt, robe, cloak and no other items, the shirt and pants take damage Everytime chest or legs get hit.
