OMG... Archery is absolutely terrible...

How about if bowcraft gave you a swing speed bonus increase like lj gives damage bonus for axes . Swing speed can only be increased while holding a bow. Shoot more hit more perhaps...

It's fun to dream. Would be nice to have any skill other than taming get some items chucked in the mix, and its easier than new code being added.

Do you need more archery skill though? IIRC, it already has a much higher hit percentage (when you're not moving much and fairly close to a target). I thought it had fairly decent DPS to melee weapons when you were say 2 tiles from a monster and just standing there healing your pet that's on the tile between you and the monster.

I assumed it would of done *something* ya know? And just figure if the most OP skill here has items that give it a boost than throwing the most unused melee skill a bone wouldn't hurt it.

I think people would love an opportunity to try a new template again here.

but with my Axer, I can make 60k an hour killing elder gazers.
With my archer, I can only kill 1 Elder gazer every 10ish minutes, because their heals are almost as fast as my attacks... and the advantage of range dissapears when your enemy has ranged spells too

Has anyone ever tried tripple boxing archers (outside of fishing) in a PVP scenario?

I'd be interested to see how that plays out.

3 x Archers running an attack closest enemy/grey/red macro loop with a bandie loop in there too for self and closest friendly and auto follow on.

Might have to try that on test...

You've invested an extra 100 skill points for +9 potential as well

I think the idea (in development) was that archery is balanced because it is ranged. It REQUIRES more to be 'perfected' imo though.

test isn't patched to live thus no archery changes there for ya... without a +25 on test I bet you were wiffing tons.

In your trials and experience with archery then dude, would a tripple box archer be any sort of threat or hold any sort of viability in PVP?

Meradin used to run his house invasion operation triple boxing archers. He would set his 2 alts hidden next to the steps with heavy xbows and would be on an archer mage hidden with a hotkey ready to make his alts auto attack a blue. When his target would recall home and open their door he would breach and block the doorway on his archer mage and hotkey the firing squad pull the trigger. It was nasty.

Yea that's a meaty attack with the extra element of surprise to get you panicking haha

Valentines event drops, add in boots of the archer- +10dex +10archery. Must have 100 archery to equip.
Cupid’s sash or cloak +10 archery or something to that effect.
