    Sacrifice

    What is Sacrifice?
Sacrifice is one of the eight virtues in the Ultima universe and provides an amazing bonus to players. Within the realm of Ultima Online players that follow the path of Sacrifice will be able to resurrect themselves after dying with all the loot on their body that has not been picked up/stolen, players are able to do this up to three times a week at the highest level.

    Levels and Bonuses

There are three levels of the Sacrifice virtue which provide better bonuses as the player achieves them.

1 - Seeker of Sacrifice (30000 fame/2 days total) - At this level the player will be able to self resurrect once a week.
2 - Follower of Sacrifice (60000 fame/4 days total)- At this level the player will be able to self resurrect twice a week.
3 - Knight of Sacrifice (90000 fame/6 days total) - At this level the player will be able to self resurrect three times a week.

    How to Gain Sacrifice

Gaining sacrifice is quite difficult, it requires the player to kill many monsters and achieve a high level of fame before even attempting (5000 fame/"Glorious" title). The more fame the player sacrifices the more progress they will make, when sacrificing 15000 fame (Max for a player), the player will gain 50% of the points required to reach the next level. Sacrificing around 10000 fame (Just reaching the "Lord" title) the player will gain about 30% of the points required to reach the next level. After sacrificing fame, the player's fame level will be set to 0 and they will have to repeat the whole process again.

When the player is ready to attempt a sacrifice they must find one of the four available "evil" monsters, these monsters are:
    Lich
    Succubus
    Daemon
    Evil Mage

When the player finds one of the aforementioned creatures and has the appropriate level of fame, they must open the circle of virtues by double clicking the pentagram at which point the player will be prompted with a cursor asking them to select a creature to sacrifice

Once a player selects an appropriate monster and the attempt is successful the monster will instantly despawn and the player will gain points towards sacrifice.

The player can track their progress through sacrifice by checking the amount of blue/red orbs on the "Status" option for "Sacrifice" in the circle of virtues.

Once the player receives enough points towards the virtue and gains a level, the symbol on the circle of virtues will light up indicating that the player has achieved a level in sacrifice:

    Using the Sacrifice Virtue
The first step to using the Sacrifice virtue requires being dead, in this instance I was killed by a headless.

The player can then open the circle of virtues by double clicking the pentagram above their head in the paperdoll.
Upon double clicking the Sacrifice teardrop, the player will be prompted with the regular resurrection menu.

When the player accepts the resurrect gump, the player will instantly revive with 10hp, 0 mana and all the loot from their body that has not been taken in their pack.

    Notes:
    * Player fame can be easily tracked on the myUORenaissance page. (Sidenote, the karma/fame columns are mislabelled, but still show accurate values)
    * A player cannot be invisible while sacrificing fame.
    * A player must have LOS to sacrifice fame.
    * A player must be alive to sacrifice fame.
    * Players that resurrect will not have statloss (Except for characters that have 5+ short term counts).
    * All items on the players corpse will be recovered (Except stolen/looted items)
    * Players cannot resurrect in faction strongholds/houses.
    * The target creature cannot have taken more than 15% of it's total health in damage.
    * Thus far I have not noticed a difference between sacrificing stronger mobs/weaker mobs, both the Succubus and the Lich gave 50% of the points for the next level when I had 15000 fame.
    * A player may sacrifice fame only ONCE per day, so make sure to sacrifice as much as possible per attempt.
    * A player may follow multiple virtues, so obtaining a few levels in the virtue of Sacrifice can prove to be invaluable for classes such as treasure hunters, tamers and even PKs.
    * If a player selects an invalid type of creature to sacrifice, nothing will happen and no fame will be lost.
    * Like all virtues, Sacrifice decays over time so in order to maintain your level the player will need to sacrifice fame every now and then.
    * Lastly, I would like to mention that this is a work in progress and that I will continue updating this post as more information becomes available.

Updated 07/12/2012 - Note added about MyUORenaissance karma/fame value display - Thanks Kryptonical

Yea, this is a cool thing, just need to remember to sacrifice, and I always forget ... :(

But I have a question, what is that green scale you have highlighted as well?
Or rather, what does it do?

Autocyclus is right, it was created for Champion spawns, the way you gained levels in it was by killing murderers. Currently you can gain levels in it here, however it does not serve any function.

That could change as we look to develop our own hero/evil champion system.

Anybody knows when the use-counter resets?
Is there a 7-day per use reset (I used on Monday 20pm -> i will reuse on Monday 20pm)
Or is there a "reset all points" on a fixed weekday and time?

And last but not least.. is there any way currently to show if and how often i may currently use the resurrection?
If there is no way to show if i can resurect by sacrifice virtue it is bad... i would have to remember every single use.

Nobody who knows the answers seemed to notice my questions :(

What i want to clearify is:
    1) When do the "Ressurection"-Counters reset? Fixed day? After use?
    2) Is there any way to find out how many "Ressurection"-Counters are currently left?

    Is this system in?

If so, any restrictions on res location? As the 'stock' RUO version of this, you can self res inside of a locked house and proceed to loot unsecured containers or cause other mischief~

I have tested this and you are unable to res in a house region (this includes courtyards).
