I am on a refreshing Ice Kingdom plan for a short while longer, moving and such killed my time to UOR QQ. Another few weeks and I'll be hunting and anti PKing and PKing and hopefully finishing my UOR museum more! Next step 3 Statues.
I both play and do volunteer work to improve/enhance the server. Recently started on some Dungeon Lighting Updates, more on the way over time. Also currently running the Mystic Collection Quest, and slowly finishing up the Ancient Tomb Quest. As others have said, anni season is soon which will be followed by the EPIC halloween events. I expect we will see upwards of 700 online by then.
I play almost daily with a few small breaks from time to time for RL or another game. I was always a lone wolf but joined a guild with a bunch of good guys whom I like. It’s been fun learning from them whenever I crawl out of my shell. I’ll be here for as long as I and the server are alive.
I play once a week or so. Real life takes its toll but I love the game and would play more if I had the time.
I just started back up after a long (unplanned) leave. Going to be playing most nights at least an hour or so.
I'm back for anni GOODIES!!!! I'm usually a seasonal player always have been. Colder it gets the more I have time to game.
Or maybe they're not trying to make any statement at all. Maybe the system just doesn't fit their playstyle. I myself have always played a stealth poisoner, there's not really a system for that here, but I like the server, and want it to flourish regardless. I just don't believe that people choose not to play a server to make a statement. That just sounds silly to me. Revealing on mounting ethy's destroys my playstyle. But there will always be certain playstyles that don't fit particular server, it's just the life of UO.
I'm still here even though I don't have a lot of time to play any more. Home schooling my daughter and having a toddler in the house keeps me really busy but I'm still stocking my vendors and helping Telamon as much as possible.
Or maybe you haven't a clue as to the mindset of the group of people, defined by the words "there's those", that I am referring to. And yes, their behavior is indeed silly, but the server doesn't need them, and they don't like to hear that. You'll see them pop their heads into Discord or on the forums from time to time, attempting to garner a little attention because they want so badly to remain relevant, but people have moved on and forgotten. Nobody gives a shit where they went, why they aren't playing here, or what your playstyle is and how it isn't suited for here. Active players still enjoy this server and will continue to do so, while the forgotten continue to refresh and hope people see their character statues as they try to hold onto their imaginary legacy they think they have here.
