Solution to unusued housing: ONLY homeowner's account can refresh

I agree with you, mostly. I'm not sure if your reply was directed at me or not. If it was you have me completely wrong. I had my end game goal houses, and now I'm happy with what I have and so my personal voyage with housing isn't for me to live in or even make money from, as it stands I would be lucky to come out without a loss.

I have no issue with KoS or lightahade if all is as we have been kindly informed that the owners are refreshing themselves. It's the ones who are not.

I'm KoS and I refresh my own houses.

Just wanted to give a New Players perspective as I really have not seen it in this thread. I have been on the server since two weeks before whatever my forum account says. In that time I have had the time to play a good amount as I am working from home now. I assumed when i started that housing would be tight as it has been on a few other shard I have been on. However I was wrong. In my first two months I placed 5 Villa and two brick houses and numerous smaller houses. I went house crazy for a while because I couldn't believe I was able to get them and some were very nice spots. Once I realized this was just the way it is here I started looking at prices of houses on the forums and realized that in no time I could afford the types of houses that I would not be able to place myself. Now I have a Large Tower and lots of houses near it like a little village in what I consider a great location. For me there is only one more step and that's a house with a courtyard. I feel i have gotten all of this super fast and would feel ridiculous to complain at all about housing even if I never did get a court yard. I will also add that I never met a fellow new player say that they felt they could not get a suitable home. This week I gave away almost all of my Villa and smaller homes to new players because I thought it was a great idea. And while those newbs were very happy they will soon realize as I did it was no big deal, I gave them the amount of the deed cost as they could have found their own spots.

I am saying all of this because as a newb in my opinion there is absolutely no issue with us finding houses. All of these proposed ideas to add more land for houses does not seem necessary to me. This particular thread to me feels like old Vets squabbling over the Highest end of housing which has no bearing on new players at all. So ask yourself before you go on a rage rant. If the Newbs aren't crying about housing then what am i crying about?

Amazing coming from you @Earsnot. You are the one who immediately crapped all over Samorites post simply inquiring about the possibility of a land rush ON AN UPCOMING EXPANSION.

So because you've decided to change positions your story completely changes?

On the first page you distinctly comment how all these houses are KoS and how's its disheartening. This quoted comment you now know for a fact they aren't KoS because of different timers.... Yet you didn't think this through when making such a strong stand initially?

What a load of poop, KoS housing or not your story is FOS and appears to just mould into whatever narrative you're feeling like tossing around

What happens when the next few waves of people max out here and also go into refresh mode? If it’s enough of a problem NOW to have this many threads and this many people discussing it and we’re only getting more players at the minute, unless something changes surely this issue can only get worse? Right? You get that don’t you?

If our player base continues to grow, and I hope that it does, at some point the percentage of refreshers, grudge blockers and dead guild museums increases aswell.

So why not discuss it now and figure something out if we can?

Sorry pal but my story didn't change one bit. Maybe you should go back and read those earlier posts again. Those homes are all labeled KOS which I, and the rest of us, just assume that means they're actually KOS properties but you know anyone can put a name on a house. Heck in the earlier posts I was the one who tagged Lightshade in the post calling him out. However, as he explained some of those weren't his I distinctly recalled that there was indeed groups of homes labeled KOS that would go fairly/greatly and the others would not. From everything he said his story checked out from my vantage point as an idocer. Both groups know we have IDOC'd KOS properties before.
