Anyone want to play bagball. If i had money/prizes id rock a tourney but as it stands id be down to just play for fun if anyone was interested.
So you take a bag and you fill it with 400 stones of junk (ore/logs/less valuable junk) so you cant hold it, only drag and drop. Dye it that obnoxious highlighted yellow hue so that its harder to tell if you are over it or not. 2 Teams (2 - however many players per side the field can hold) stand on either ends of what ever you decide the field is (can use a empty big house.. or an actual farming field w/ not too much crud on it to get in the way). Set up something to denote a goal line and boom. FIrst team to like 5 wins is easy enough (over time limits) No trading the ball to pass it Can not hold the ball longer then 5 seconds No magic/pots You've never played bagball?!
I had been trying to determine what to do with the roof of my forthcoming Event Center, and this sounds like a great idea. Is this a non-combat event? I wonder if you could pile a bunch of stuff on each side such that when you drop the bag on the tile, it goes to the top of the pile and is unreachable by players...

I loved bagball even had an alt on Europa in the old days to play on the bagball leagues! If anyone is looking for more info the tower of roses has an article on bagball here, it was huge on the European shards. http://www.towerofroses.de/bagball.htm Those guys were lucky and a seer made them 1000 stone bagballs so people could barely move haha.
its a non combat event.. omg - you all never played it.... its inspired by "mining too much crap and having to leap from it to the forge"... but then someone comes in and starts moving it the other way! (Age of Shadows included this offical bag ball arena in Luna ... and that giant white bagball) Video doesn't do it justice (franticly clicking and getting locked up by decreased stamina) Basically id say in a house - put down cloth or something as the "goal zone" and if the bag ends up on the color.. its a goal or something Line the play field w/ Stalves stacked up high as the out of bounds on the sides.
Nice, Its the type event the place needs... Now to see if I can beat Dalavar to the punch key is going to be how to tell who has the "ball" and the 5 second timer.. I think I will set this up on my Knights Forge Tower

Landarr - someone is the Ref.. and they make the calls .. i mean the 5 secs a ruff timer.. in the sense that like .. dont just turtle the bag for 23857230948329578234 secs and through it to a teammate... you need to constantly be moving it
heh time to get this cranking !! Halloween event coming up soon, need to get it in before or wait till after *breaks out the cloth and starts laying out a field...
Yeah, lock an container down (crate or a backpack here i guess) and load it up with 1k weight, 400st gives room to run with high dex/str and in a small arena like a single tower top, makes for quick points if they can eat enough fish to recover stamina. For increased insanity, you can set it up with 1-3min rounds, and allow your 'subs' to come into play (the only characters on field allowed to attack) if each round still lacks a goal, or as a sudden death for th final round.
im beyond excited people are down for this and have houses big enough.. i didnt.. i was just ganna find a field to mess around w/. But seriously - anyone need help figuring it out.. let me know im all in!
I'd be down for some bagball and can also offer a clean fortress if needs be. I believe a blessed bagball field was discussed around the time that we did the first summoner's sprint. In fact, I think Mobolin came up with the idea as I was complaining that we got a race track instead of a bagball arena. Turns out the racetrack is also pretty cool. . .
