There will be plenty of fish steaks as well as Sushi available. The Gypsy Warriors are all fond of fishing. My plan was to give each team 2 pots to fully regenerate their stamina at half time. I am willing to give each player 1 for each half as well. I will put it to a vote when the teams are signed up. Since this is the first tournament, maybe we should be a bit more lenient...

-A total of 20 fish steaks will be provided to each team at the beginning of the game to help with regen.
-2 Refresh Pots will be provided at half time.
-2 Refresh pots may be provided for each half (subject to vote)

We got another 20k donated by someone who wished to remain anonymous. The total now is 640k Gold. We need some teams! We got good prize money. Sign ups end Thursday Night. If thee are at least 4 teams registered by then it is a go. But we need at least 2 more teams. Also, if anyone wishes to see the field or have a practice game there eave me a message on the forums and I will see to it that you have access.

FYI, Jupiter was showing me some of his leet bball skillz last night, so you better be ready to bring it against Paws!

I dunno man. Freakzilla has been practicing rolling Joints for finger dexterity. And Geebee has lost at least 10lbs for the event and is still on his diet! The Gypsies are ready!!!

Also, in the spirit of true sportsmanship, I will share these tips:

1. I have confirmed that you cannot use the Razor 'covert to item type' to pick up items that are not in your bag. Which is good. This means that you have to point and click the bag (or bag name with Ctrl+shift) to pick it up.

2. I also tested using scavenger to 'pick up' the ball. I'm pleased this also failed. While it did succeed in picking up the bag 'once' it would often fail to pick up the bag consecutive times because it had registered that it already 'scavenged' the item. Thus, you can use razor to scavenge the bag at your own peril and it will probably cause more delay by trying to constantly 'fiddle' with razor and clear the scavenge queue.

3. You CAN use razor to 'drop' the item that you are currently holding, so you have to point and click to pick up the bag, but you can use razor to set it down.

4. Yes, I have made a UO profile that has mapped out 9 directions to set down the bag once I have picked it up.

Also, in the spirit of pure self-interest, I will ask you the following question:
Jupiter will you be my bagball partner? If thou says no, will somebody?...please...?

I have locked down a bunch of gold coins to effectively block out the field. I will post a pic when I get home. I would suggest just concentrating on picking it up and then map out the drop as Jupiter has suggested.

Jupiter really wants this trophy. I think a lot of people are intimidated because it looks hard. If you're reading this you should not be intimidated. Nobody is a pro at this.

I am going to try to get one of my guildsmen to be my partner, but if none are able to, I will partner with whoever needs one!

See it aint pretty. You may just want to stick to clicking on the screen for the bagball as it was intended. Or hold CTRL+SHFT as it is not consistent with what it registers every time. I will admit to that. But I have locked a bunch of single gold coins down to make it harder to use CTRL+SHFT.

To encourage participation, I am leaving the sign ups open until Midnight on Friday the 7th instead of Thursday the 6th. Anyone who wishes to sign up Solo and be partnered at the event is also invited to enter Solo.

When the day is over, and the sun is setting, we will see who wears the boots in this here stadium! You're not dealing with a Sissy Sandal wearin' Neon Warrior here...I'm a true Bagballin' Fist Brawlin' Boot wearin' Barbarian, and I intend on takin' home that 1st place trophy, and phat prize money!!

I wonder if the orcs are gonna "ball" up and send their ugliest team!

Who do I need to entice/threaten to get some Orcs in here? Willing to hunt some human folks down and chop their body parts to feed them if necessary. I did say we would cater our hospitality to those attending...

If you guys prefer, we can do completely random partnering at the event for everyone. I just don't want to discourage anyone who actually wants to enter as a team. But it is open for discussion.

Depending on how many people sign up to compete and how many games we have to fit in that day, I will find other fun activities for us to do.

I wonder if Telamon is able to open a portal to Test kind of the same way we used to travel from fel to tram? I'll ask him

HOW TO PLAY:

This game was inspired by Miners who used to drag a heavy pile of Ore around and people who would drag them away to piss them off. The point of the game is to place the BagBall behind the other teams goal line to score a goal. The ball weighs 1000 stones so you cannot walk with it. You will be given food but no refresh pots during the match!
