For a long time Liberation, mayor of the player-city Grimoire would hold weekly 1v1 dueling tournament atop his dark tower. On occasion when needed they were held in Stormhold as well and hosted by myself and friends. It's time we brought that back! We'll use the same rules we always used AND keep track of everyone's victories and loses in a larger league scoring system. Jebidiah has worked out a Google spreadsheet that we'll keep updated and available to the public here at a later date. (scoring system still being worked out and won't begin until after the 1st of year) So let's have a fight night this Friday night like we used to! Stormhold Fight League - Friday Night Fights #8 (1-23-15 @ 11PM EST) Prize purse brought to you by: The 555 Foundation & GideonJura, and Sir Garvey! Location: Event gates will most times be provided by Telamon and if you PM Vlar in IRC travel can be arranged. Rules: This week's tournament will be (standard 1v1 rules) No combat or stealing outside of the ring Reds(murderers) and blues are both allowed to attend and participate Elimination style TBD (single/double elim) based on time constraints No pots (EXCEPT REFRESH) No wands No hiding/invis No magic weapons/armor Poisoned weapons are not allowed No looting No field spells No followers (tames, summons, mounts, etc) No precasting before match begins No buffs before match begins (includes stat pots, bless, Magic Reflect and company, fish buffs, etc) All matches are subject to "sudden death" after ten minutes in duration and people are getting sleepy. Stealing is allowed between active combatants during official matches. Stolen items must be returned at the end of each match. All combatants are subject to snooping by Stormhold staff As always, I reserve the right to make shit up as I go along. Sudden Death: No interruption of fight will occur Referee will signal audience members and staff that sudden death will begin in 60 seconds When 60 seconds has expired and the referee gives an ALL-CAPS signal the audience and staff are free to dump fire or poison fields into the arena. Combatants are allowed to heal or cure as normal no rules change except now they're fighting in a pit of fire and poison. I'd like to ask that people stable their horses rather than park them in the corner. There's a stablemaster just through the event gate in the courtyard. This is to help cut down on lag for competitors.

As TnT and newcomer Elaine Marley's fight stretched on near the 12 minute mark anticipation grew in the crowd to try the new 'Sudden Death' rules. Sometimes I don't know what's going on. Some fights are just more fun to watch than others. (templates etc) This one was amazing. Here we have U LiNt LiCkEr and amfeKk giong at it in one of the most entertaining fights of the night. Wild swings of health on both sides, dramatic moments and many close calls! Furbitron vs leggo my eggo becomes the first fight to go to Sudden Death! The fields begin to multiply! Members of the crowd, and past champions, are caught up in the action! More fields quickly blanket the arena! leggo finds a tiny space to hide moments before finishing off Furbitron in an epic first sudden death match! Stavros and leggo my eggo's match for third place also goes to sudden death! The crowd had fun. THE CHAMPION RETURNS! 7 time Friday Night Fight champion Pax Romain regains his title after felling Roman in a fiercely fought final bout!
