Completely related to that thread. Upgrayyeds house and who does/does not have access has nothing to do with Rand's properties that fell.

You all want to talk about who has/had access to Rand's CY and the security thereof, feel free.

In all fairness, any house you buy that has a courtyard runs the risk or people having runes to that courtyard. Using proper security measures makes it a moot point, however.

Var, while I appreciate your concern, the point is entirely moot on any house with a CY that gets placed any more. The only places that DON'T have compromised CYs are older than most players' accounts here.

lol. I didn't even look at the time stamps. Just saw a few nice homes and tossed out a bid. My apologies Timbo.

In fall 2014 I was on the dev server, which is a mirror of the live server, houses and all. It had been up a few weeks and the houses had fallen. But I noticed a few that didn't fall. This house of Upgrayedd's was one of them, it continued to say slightly worn. The paws large tower was another. And one called the renaissance community vendor mall, although in the last case it said it was blessed.

I suppose its plausible that someone was getting on the dev server every couple days and refreshing these houses (they stayed at slightly worn) but I think the most likely thing is Telamon had set them at a blessed state because of upgrayedd's real life and because of paw's community significance.

This isn't a jab at upgrayedd in any way or any decision by staff to set that state. But I don't really believe it was refreshed only by you all this time. Samo had a big decorated house in trammel. Wasn't a big deal to me either.

I have no dog in this fight but I am curious about one thing. I understand Upgrayed did a lot of good for UOR, but if he's never coming back, why should his houses remain? Why not create a statue to honor his hard work and dedication, while opening up areas of the game for other players?

Up is a great guy and after hearing what was going on through the grapevine, I vote that his stuff stay refreshed or blessed for an indefinite amount of time in hopes that he may return one day. And if unfortunately he doesn't, I would also like to move that some sort of permanent tribute be made in game for him. This entire situation bummed me out pretty bad. I thought he was just playing on alts all of this time.
