Blessing Runic Weapons for non-Faction Characters

I'll get behind this 100% if the duel pits, CTF and instance events go too. Not that it would ever happen but if you're going to yell Trammel either take it all or stop worrying about it. What would you even do with your Val weapons if Trammel pits left the server?

I wonder if removing the pits would populate jhelom farms =D

You can have your blessed weapons if tamers lose their pet bonding.

Other way around. If tamers had no bonded pets, I wouldn't even be considering blessing weapons as a way to make the field fair for all templates. They can 'bless' infinite weapons (although they can only take out 3-4 at a time), they will never lose them if they don't want.

Ideally, it wouldn't really be for runics but for slayers. I agree that PvP weapon blessing either shouldn't exist at all, or should only exist in Factions as a temporary blessing. Otherwise, in PvM, slayers should be treated just like pets. Hard to find a good one, so high value, but never lost once you've got it. The problem is that Tamers already got their backs scratched like 15 times. Dexxers are still out in the cold farming high end mobs for slayers because it's the only place they can get them. Now that L7s are on the horizon, they can look forward to buying slayers from the tamers that tank those solo too.

Ideally, I'd campaign to remove bonding however that ship has sailed imo.

Adding blessed weapons would only add to the ridiculousness of the matter and compound the issue as well as bring this server one step closer to the very reason why I don't play the official server. (see: opinions)

Your proposal is fair and a logical request when compared however I fear the doors it would open to other changes, alterations rightly requested pointing to this one as precedence...

"Well, dexxers got blessed slayers so since I use summons to hunt with it's only fair they shouldn't be dispellable."
"Well, summons can't be dispelled anymore so I shouldn't have to reapply poison to my weapon and it should be blessed too"

"Hay, they got all the things they wanted so I should be able to mine for gold... coins"

It would be cool if all blessed items and ethereal mounts (unless not blessed) were removed from this server. Nothing worse than giving advantages to players that have no risk attatched.

180 degrees thread hijack suggestion: When Tamers lose their bonded pets, they should lose 20% of their skills, and the pets should drop gold on their corpse equal to a little less than the cost of raising their skills back up the 20%. Also the tamers neon beard should fall off.

Come to think of it, blessed spell books are a horrible idea too. The original trammel really. Garriot really dropped the ball on that one. Just imagine them removed....
