Project Sanctuary Public Champions are over.

UPDATE: Project Sanctuary Champs is over. We may restart these at a later time, hopefully. #PSChamps was great for 3 days. We did 8 champs, got a TON of new and old players involved and it was a lot of fun. We were 2 skulls away from 2 harrowers.

The reason PS Champs is over is because TT/SL have repeatedly pk'd, griefed, and stolen platinum. They've also threatened to destroy and grief any PS Public spawns, because I said they are no longer welcome at PS Public Champ spawns for their actions.

In addition, PS members are now on their kill list, and so am I.

I am not willing to arrange PS champs for new players only to have them get pk'd and griefed.

Everybody has enemies on this server. I was hoping that for the good of the server, we could all establish neutral ground and work together to give new and old players access to a very fun and rewarding part of the game. UOR is not a big server, and it's difficult to get people for champs. Even the big guilds on UOR have difficulty getting enough numbers.

My post here will definitely result in me being killed and griefed. On the other hand, I'm passionate about UOR and I'm going to communicate what has gone well, what hasn't, and why those occurred. Hopefully people can build from this experience and make more successful events.

I'm expecting a multitude of responses, including disrespectful comments and personal attacks. I am not getting involved in any of that, and will not be responding further in this thread. This is what I saw, heard, and I stand by everything I've said here. Thank you for your time.

Nowhere did I mention the last spawn in any of my threads.

Out of 8 PS spawns, you guys have pkd people at every single one you attended. I'd say at least 5.

Secondly, prove to me you spawned it and it wasn't up in t2a.

Thirdly, I tried being very diplomatic with you all, but honestly it's not worth it. Griefing me today I realized you guys are out for blood and care nothing about others enjoyment of the game.

This is felucca. Trying to make all these ridiculous rules of no pking, be nice to everyone blah blah blah. It just sets you up for failure. Just make the guild and deal with the shit that happens. Simply put, TT/SL is gonna kill people we don't like. I don't care whether it's at your spawn or not.

It's my understanding that a lot of the pking the other night was due to bart showing up on his red with his friends looking to kill our guys.
I know you bought whatever he told you, but bart is a first class manipulator. It's really funny that other people can show up on their reds to kill us, and somehow we're the bad guys for fighting back.

To pile on to that, bart was also provoing shit onto Kane's pets getting them killed. How do you expect us not to retaliate from stuff like that? It's just silly.

A message to SL:

What? No no no. Dramatic words! So kudos on the fire and intensity.

But we are not a force to be reckoned with.
We are not attempting to be elitist.
We have only tried to help the server, focus on new players, and not take for granted what has been given us.

If this is untrue, then I have not been going my job right.

I had been gone for close to 3 week. So back in the game, back on the saddle, and getting things back on track for PS.

Excuse me while I play devil's advocate for a moment...

While I respect what Project Sanctuary has done in trying to organize champ spawns for the every day joe... (new players and veterans alike) ... What makes this game great is the conflict. Champion spawns were meant to be fought over.

Helping the new/helpless players earn some plat / compete at champion spawns is all the more noble BECAUSE there are 'bad folks' out there trying to get in the way.

So rally up, and keep trying to help the helpless... but I think trying to make a "public, neutral event" is not the way to go about it.

My 2 cents.

(I'm obviously not gonna comment on the particular event being discussed; as well.. I don't know anything about it.)

My thoughts about that topic: Bring enough force with you to crush all oponents if necessary. UO is only partially about slaughtering monsters, the other half is about not being killed and looted. So maybe you also need some pvp education within PS for new players. Wouldn't be bad at all.
