Hi. Well, all these concepts sounds very interesting. But, at this point in game, don't think they are visible. The reason being, I believe they would involve a great deal of coding, etc., and some of the resources you mentioned are not in game.

As for table walls, there are several ways to make them more attractive. One being the good old black cloth tops. Since the black dye is not a true color, more like a wash, it is solid. Has no shadows, or shapes to it. (I posted a guide on how to use it)... Than on top of these tables you can place decorations of choice. In this manner, the only part of the table which shows are the table legs.

Thanks for this thread. Love new ideas

You don't even need to use tables for this. People do because they're cheap and known to work... but you can use footstools, wooden boxes or chests, crates, etc. Wooden boxes and footstools in particular are great because it's easy to hide them with something (like cloth) on top.

I suspect there's certain rares you can also use for this purpose, like perhaps candles and such. And of course, rocks. So even if everyone else's home uses the ugly table walls, yours can look however you like but still be safe.

No one is forcing you to make a table wall. We do NOT need to patch or add a feature because "you don't like how it looks"

I don't think anyone particularly enjoy's making table walls, it's just something most people do to add security.

I don't particularly like having to carry around 10 trapped pouches, nor am I required to, but I do.
I don't particularly like having to carry around wands, nor am I required to, but I do.
I don't particularly like having to do xxxxx, nor am I required to, but I do.
    etc.

There are many ways to create a security barrier in your home, if you choose to have one, without using table walls. Look through the decor contest threads and check out what other people have (those that actually use the homes they decor), it may give you ideas to use.

Barrels (very expensive for the rare kind) or pedestals topped with benches can create a security wall that looks more like a wall or counter. You could also just use the oak wood counters. It's the same look that the large smithy home has to separate the main room.

The trash barrel trick is just what most people use to make it easier to come and go. If you want to release and lock down an item every time then that's your prerogative.

I am pretty sure gravedirt is impassable if raised one tile, and makes a nice "wall" as well.

I like the stonecrafting fence idea, though.
