Start bids without a clear reserve price just seems to be a "check the value out auction".
To check the value out use IRC and ask people or make it clear in the start post that this is your intension.

My2cents as a poor guy who watches the statue auctions here in forum...
why is this one worth so much? There are 3 on server and if a guild does continiuos spawns there are good chances to get more.
I saw more rare statues going for less.
But true is: This one is really looking very very cool.

What more rare statue goes for less? Do pretell? Because the champion boss statuetts are the rarest that exist on the server, and I dont think you've seen another one go for under 2 mil. And they are not good chances to get by doing spawns. I think you should stop trying to be auction police, especially since you dont even have the paper to bid on this item.

Just need to check out the rarerity of statuettes.
There are rarer ones but few cooler ones.

Auction police mission complete. It would not be a good auction culture if it would be standard to open auctions with not clearified reserves.

I dont believe you are aware of how a reserve works. Reserves are never made public, and also bidding never starts at the reserve price.

Yes other statues are more "rare" but think of it this way. People only do mephitis to get the skull for harrower. Typically at mephitis there are between 10-20 people. Most its ran is about once every week. so that 1/50 chance it will drop statistically which is close to being once a year it drops. Now you take in count the minimal amount of people 10 you actually have a 1/10 chance to get that statue per year if you are part of the group who runs champs every week for harrower.
