How should it not be a PvP skill?!?! So because I'm a bard I should be defenseless? I should rely on magery to defend myself? (Not to mention, in era it was possible to provo monsters onto players)

If a tamer wants to drop 2 skills to add music and provo, that's 100% valid.

Yup, been a long time coming!!

In that thread, Chris said it would come in in patch 34 or 35 at the latest. In other words Soon™.

Have talked to both @Chris and @Treasureman and they did say they'll be bumping this up the priority list.

Would this mean you can provo a tamer's dragons onto them or onto each other?

Doubt that will be possible. Don't think tames are provokable, BUT you can provo stuff onto the tames.

this skill wont be nearly as OP as people fear. the chances of being able to provo something extremely strong are very low as it is. we cant just run around boss monsters while failing provo until it succeeds its just a measure to have a chance to quickly provo any nearby monster onto a character when they are seen to give us either a chance of escaping or to obviously help fight. for me it would be escape ;)

There are no other combat skills that arent able to be used in pvp so why should this be any different?

pure bards use 4 skills 3 of which cant be used in pvp. that doesnt leave them with many options for fighting back.

they'd be much too loyal to their master to turn on him/her so easily :p

There's a cooldown period for provo. This is not a justifiable reason for not having provo onto players.

at the moment pks can use the fact that tamers pets are holding monster agro or draw extra mobs onto people in dungeons to gain an advantage - its not possible for the tamer/bard to do the same back.

why is it such a bad thing to even the playing field? its not like provo onto players would be 100% success chance it would still be a gamble. plus if you arent in a dungeon but in the field somewhere with no mobs or weak mobs the dedicated pvp char will still dominate.

pvp centric chars will still hold clear advantages in other ways - for example the amount of tamers with any fighting skills is extremely low. just the other day i was killed with my dragons right next to me because a fencer has a 100% chance to hit and hit hard.

this isnt a gamebreaking mechanic should it be introduced. id even be down with something like if you try to provo a monster onto a player and it fails it attacks you directly instead!

    I miss my blue Beetle!!!!!

The debate is very focused on provo animals towards PK's but I could be also the other way around: PK's as Provo dumping loads of mobs onto anything

Again, there is a cooldown timer associated with Provoking. The time involved does not allow "dumping loads of mobs onto anything".

Wait, I just want to provoke creatures unto myself to take the aggro off other chars (miner, t-hunter, for example)!!

Well, maybe not just that, but the bottom line is, this is a mechanic available in era, and which only helps to enhance gameplay. I can't see a downside to this...whatsoever! Not even an "exploit" possibility.

Provo onto players! Let's do it! Seems totally reasonable to me, I can't really see the problem here.

Also it was an age old way of killing NPCs in town since they for some reason didn't call guards, getting you those nice black sandal.

Combining herding with being able to provo onto other players would be fun.

    Hiding
    Stealth
    Herding
    Music
    Provo
    Magery
    Med

I can see it now. Stealthing around herding big baddies and provoking them onto your enemies.

It would be awesome if provo didn't reveal....which it does :(

That's just a risk worth taking if you ask me. If it didn't reveal it'd be too stronk!

I agree u should be able to Provo monsters onto players, i would even like to see enticement as a temporary stat or skill loss for pvp. Like loss of 5 skill points and 5 stat points depending on music and enticement skill.

    Agree on both points.
