I don't think I have experienced any "attacks" but my macbook does not seem to recognise the program uo: renaissance.dmg to be able to install it. It downloads all right. Must be something to do with the computer preferences or perhaps Safari preferences. Is there a way to add the downloaded game to a preference, so it will be "recognised"? Right now I can't "find" it on my computer anywhere.
I have downloaded it again, and copied the dmg file to my desktop. I get the message "not recognised" and "the following disk image could not be opened." I think for mac users like myself you need to get one of your admin people who does have a mac to try to open the file. It might also be best to follow all the links for mac users, as some lead round in an eternal circle. Perhaps if they do sort out my "not recognised" disk image, they can give me detailed advice as to how to open it.It may have something to do with razor, which I have downloaded but don't know what to do with it. I have a 2012 macbook pro retina, 8gb, using mountain lion software.
This sounds like you did not manage to download the complete file. It should be around 1gb of size. Try downloading it again and make sure the size matches what is shown on the website.
Yes it was the size of the original, about 1gb. OK, I will download it again, will have to wait unit tomorrow.
I have downloaded the file and installed it. Should be ready to go. Will browse the forums to see what's happening.
As we reach our third anniversary I think the biggest accomplishment this year has been surviving this period of DDOS attacks and coming out on the other side of it an even larger and more active server. Considering these attacks seem to have stopped or are completely mitigated now, and we saw a new peak player count within the last month, I declare @Chris really handled this with aplomb.
Since I updated from 0S X mountain lion to 0S X El Capitan two days ago I can't access the game at all. I have copied the errors that the programme has discovered and will send it to Chris.
Interestingly enough I can recall a certain guild on EA servers and a specific individual (can't prove it but he was ALWAYS there when it happened) that would ddos as well. I didn't realize that's what it was a long time ago.. I would pvp at brit gate and crash all the time and always log in dead in the guard zone. Sometimes it would happen and you just thought it was a weird glitch, but other times it would happen 15x in a row. I just accepted it as part of pvp, being a new pvper and all. I left that shard and it didn't happen for a few years until that same guild and guy came to what was then my new home server. That was when I realized something was up. They quit Ea servers about a year - year and a half ago. I heard they were bouncing between free shards. I also know one of them did a few years for hacking accounts around 08-2010. Before they left that one server about 10 people lost their accounts. I assume ddosing was involved as well. "Auras" of lag and lots of unexplained crashing. Perhaps I am wrong but that is what I believe it was, as a ddos creates tons of lag and crashing right? *shrugs* Either way, some people are just toxic. Glad it stopped, I'm loving this place!
