I'm new, just logged in I asked in game but no one answered I need to know if we have a skill cap and stat cap or not, i didnt find anything about it on the website Thanks!
Welcome ArkNemsis. This is an era accurate server for the UOR era, so in terms of stats and mechanics, that is what you can expect! We have a few custom things here, but they fit right into the game just fine. IRC is really the place to be for the live action chatting and what not. Jump in as soon as you can and that is where you will find a lot of the player base, if you cant connect to them in game. I assume you are in Occlo, which is the newbie town, so most of the folks around the bank are afk macroing. You likely wont get responses. WHen you get out into the world you will find more interaction.
Hi and welcome to our crazy world. Yes irc is a good place to ask questions and get to know people. You can also access all our sites on the forums page, Right hand side, scroll down. I suggest you stay in the young player program for as long a possible. The advantages to it are you can do great skill gains in building up your character, earn some gold, get to know our server and meet players. feel free to say hi anytime. I'm Westra on irc My main in game is Marjo, Governess of Wispfelt Village and GM of PVM guild.
Ok so kind, 700 skill cap love it I'm here with 2 friends, we're italian, playing UO since 99/2000, never played in a 500 online char shard and UOR is awesome, Pls someone can suggest us a fast way to get some gold to start playing in a dignified way? I created a swordsman and a mage but 1000gp hands up so fast and we're quite 'rusty'
Welcome to UOR ArkNemesis!! http://www.uorenaissance.com/info/ That is a link to our compendium which covers many questions you may have as far as server specific features including the content that is custom to our server specifically. We are a Renaissance server however Renaissance mechanics are not all that will be seen as there is a mix match of different eras in some cases. For instance our housing system is actually a T2A system not a Renaissance system. Good luck!
Hello, and welcome! there is also a getting started video that may help you. http://uorforum.com/threads/uo-renaissance-getting-started-video.14054/
Ok i have 2 or 3 questions: -i bought a small brick house, i want to put it somewhere in occlo but i think i've a problem -i lost my first account and i need to get it back, who should i contact? -mining/blacksmith gives bonus on macer weapon like lumber --> axes?
1) Not in Ocllo. Nearly impossible, because every house spot should be full there. Ask for spots in IRC, but small houses can be placed near everywhere outside of Ocllo, e.g. south of Trinsic Moongate. 2) Contact Telamon. 3) No fighting bonus from mining/blacksmithy.
ok tnx can you suggest me a good template for a macer warrior? my friend put anatomy- tactics- mace- heal- resisting spell- parrying but he miss a skill
Depends on what you want to kill. In case you want to kill monsters only, I would always go with a dexxer/bard mixture. Its classically: - Fighting Skill - Tactics - Anatomy - Healing - Magery (or 70 Magery/30 Med) - Musicianship - Provocation or Peace (I would choose Provocation, leaves you more options) Yes, you are more in danger without resist. You have to compensate with your wits and caution. Also with a good recall macro and always have Magic Reflection up.
No, it's great for certain things. Mainly for killing/handling bosses. But it's hard to integrate into a dexxer/bard template. You still need provo or peace without any other means of tanking.
Ok bcause i choose for my bard-archer to discard peacemaking so i have Archery - tactics - anatomy - heal Music - provo - enti am i right?
Living without magery is pretty tough. No magic reflection and no emergeny recall from PKs. Id rather drop healing instead of magery... Or have 70 magery, 80 tactics, 50 healing... Or 30-50 magery (+ recall scrolls) PS: Archery is probably the worst fighting skill for pvm. Arrows are expensive. Bows are expensive and cant be repaired. Damage is pretty medium. No special move.
