Who Loves this Shard?!

Ultima 0nline Renaissance is the best shard there is!!!

I don't doubt many of you agree with me... The purpose of this thread is to show any newbies out there that this truly is the best place for them to set up shop. Lets show them what a great community and server we are!

Please take a few minutes to list some of the reasons while you love this server, and continure to play it day in and day out.

1) The community. We have the best community out there. Hands down, no ifs ands of buts about it! Everyone here is super helpful, friendly, curteous and kind. I have never ever met a better community in any of my hobbies, jobs or other games. Friends here will give you their shirt off their back if you need it. They will ask about your RL day, and celebrate with you when things are going well, or pick you up when you are feeling blue. I wouldn't trade this community for any other out there.

2) Staff. The staff/administration here is top notch. Without showing any bias I feel it is safe to say we have the best Administration. They show fairness to the highest degree. They are sympathetic to things that happen but will always do what is fair. No one is given any type of unfair advantage when starting. Everyone starts as a newb and grinds their way to the top. We have all been there and it is agruably some of the best time you will spend playing this awesome game. Staff is super hardworking. I have never seen admins work so hard to continiously develop, patch and fix their server. This work, combined with detailed patch notes keep everyone in the loop as to how the server is progressing.

3) Events. Events here are top notch. For every major holiday there will coencide a major event. Halloween (my favorite) Christmas and Easter to name a few but not all. Each event has its own leaderboard, prize pool, monsters, rare drops, and a whole heck of a lot to do! These events are a catalyst for player interaction and really get everyone out there playing amongst each other. Some of the best times I have had are struggling to complete some hard holiday challenge with my mates.

These are just a few things I love very much about this server. Please lets hear from the community about what you guys enjoy about this place you call home.

Lets not forget player-run events as well! There are a few RP guilds and they throw down an awesome time.

The community is great, and I am proud to be part of it. The Era and the additions to it are simply the best combination, and let's not forget the staff. The staff has been awesome and all of this comes for free. Just sign in and play, no pay to win, no subscription, just play as you wish.

The economy seems to be strong here, new players can make their dreams come true, and currency still has value for rares and other items to go up for sell.

There is so many things I'd like to go into detail about, but this is THE place to be.

I couldn't agree more with what has been said. .

For me there is no "right way" to play here. If you enjoy fishing and doing mibs all day, than go for it. If you aspire to be the top pker of the server, go for it. Basically, whichever way you enjoy playing is fine.

I'm one of those new players on UO:R having just entered my third month of gaming here and I'm hooked 110% for all of the above reasons. I left UO 17yrs back and my wife finds it amazing I'm back playing what was my first proper MMO all over again like a child in a sweet shop.

I've various templates on the go with more in the making and a couple as I type that haven't even made it to creation screen yet but will do very soon.

The starter area in Occlo is a great safe way to get acquainted to the game either as a new or returning player especially with ability to hop in and out of the [young player scheme to participate in events or just move your provo training to Moonglow Zoo for a few hours before heading back to Occlo to GM.

I've placed my first 'proper' house today as affirmation my roots are set here in UO:R and loving my inclusion within the ranks of Project Sanctuary after a random chance meeting with MikeK and Doctor Satan who've since become firm friends with as well as other guildies who welcomed me into the fold.

The general IRC channel is a great source of information, banter and general amusement with the different characters who play this game who've helped me with tips n legit tricks throughout my template developments.

The events I've gone on so far have helped me work out the best hotkey combo's and the trophy's are a great addition to the game.

Admin team are everything customer service should be as I know running my own company, I haven't had to call on them for any personal dilemma's but I've seen in game and over IRC that they do care about their players and react in a responsible and mature manner.

In short a big thumbs up from me and a thank you to Chris & team for all their efforts.

- Helpful Staff
- Great and friendly Community
- Fel. Only gameplay
- Great PvM (Custom) content which you will only find here
- Champ Spawns!
- Lots of viable reworked gamestyles
- A good server population and health
- Renaissance era pvp mechanics
- A fair amount of pks which are making farming more extiting, but not frustrating
- Player run events!

Its the best freeshard available in my opinion for overall gameplay, and also the one im considering home.
Defenitly my #1 spot of all the freeshards available (any era) and BY FAR the nicest renaissance era shard available!

If youre looking for an authenticexperience without neon hues then you will love it!

lol, is this in the same vein that you heard bart and I were scheming to steal from new players or something? lolol, dork.

I love Renaissance because it's the most professionally run shard around. Not for profits and doing a pretty good job of staying within the era it's attempting to perfect.

Also, I love purple and have a lot of it here.

Finally and most importantly, my adoring fans, of which I have so many that are so varied in their praise of me.

I have to say, it's pretty darn good here. UO haunted my dreams until I found this shard. Well done, UO:R, well done.

Until? Shit, UO has haunted many people's dreams because of UOR. The pending additions and events get people so fuckin worked up they lose sleep, jobs and relationships over it. Gotta admit, that's a pretty strong testament to the quality herein.

It's got a good beat and I can dance too it.

I feel like this shard captures the feel of UO. It's everything I loved about the original and a bunch of stuff the original should have had.

Plus we got super fun holiday events, a vet rewards system that kicks ass, easy macroing for skillgain and no macroing for resource gain.
