I don't know why I choose for this to be the first topic of my debate against this but, how are you going to have factions in trammel? Factioners can't attack each other in trammel (only guild wars and O/C were able to fight in trammel). Is that just a circle jerk where everyone gets a title and doesn't have to do any fighting for it? Sigils also don't exist in trammel, there's just so many holes in that proposal. Trammel servers also tend to be very sparsely populated, and since I imagine some of the people who would migrate (if not most) would just be from this server anyway so I guess I don't see the point in stealing players from our own server. This of course is glossing over the fact that trammel is also incredibly boring, I don't know about you but I bash enough monsters here on UO:R to never want to do it all over again anywhere, especially not where I can fall asleep farming and have the mobs be the only thing I'd have to worry about. We have enough trammel right here on this server for people to effectively not leave it like ever. You fish your AMiBs, you run your AMiBs, you join CTF when it's up and you've effectively spent your entire day without the fear of someone doing something to you that you might not like. Everything about the idea of a parallel trammel server disgusts and infuriates me, please don't ever mention such a travesty again.
Custom houses are terrible. People already make rediculous looking houses. Fake water falls, tvs? , terrible. Uor needs a building department, and this building department needs to start handing out violations for eye sores.
I was cool with fake characters building fake houses, but yeah fake waterfalls is taking it too far IMO.

I would enjoy maybe a couple more Telamon designed houses like the fortress, but smaller versions. Also, I feel like the bar that stretches across the patio could be removed.

Are you sure it would take population away from here, more than anywhere else? Just to save Gideon some face here, that's not his idea originally. It's not mine either but I support the idea for a number of reasons. People who want buy-in, Trammel and Custom Housing are likely already playing where they can get that, because that's what they want. If there were a sister shard to Renaissance that provided that, within the bounds of Renaissance design goals (sans Felucca), I would guess the majority of the population there would come from some other shard(s). You're certainly going to get some folks from here that play there sometimes, and some full time. So what? The people that go there full time, weren't fighting you here anyway. The people that come along and have to play FelRen to get access to TramRen would bolster the population overall. Also, I think Factions was introduced basically alongside Trammel. It would work just like it works now, wherein, you fight oranges. lol tl/dr: The losses would be drastically outmatched by the gains, in total numbers of players this would bring to the shard (on both sides), in my opinion. This isn't even considering the implications of the revenue generation that isn't tied to items in the main shard.
I would have to say no, I really like housing how it is, even though I do not have one yet. When I played on official servers I saw some beautiful custom homes, but the vast majority of were not. If there were custom "pre-made options" the players could vote on to add some variation, maybe that...Maybe. Just my thoughts.
Oh my, people are unironically asking for trammel. I can certainly think of some people that belong there, maybe it's not a bad idea.
Because fully updated servers are gross and unappealing to many players. I know folks who play on shards that are Trammel but unsavory in other ways, because they emulate UO with Trammel. Perhaps they'd give it a go here, if they had somewhere that people like napo didn't park ghosts, just to know when to go PK them. For example, I bet @Zagyg would love the idea of a Trammel version of Renaissance. I would honestly prefer Chris go build Trammel to provide profits for the original Felucca shard. With those profits he could pay someone else more seriously intent on developing player conflict and the mechanics involved therein, to develop the Feluccan side. Chris has been around recently, as I've had recent conversation with him. He's busy toiling away on the next round of fun for everyone here.
Whoa there guy, watch it with the character assassination. I'm pretty sure you can get banned for that these days. I've never used ghosts, and I think you'll find that the database reflects that I haven't killed anyone who wasn't part of a rival pvp group in six months or more. There's no point in ghosting when you can use a stealth tracker to scout huge swaths of land. Goes to show how out of touch you are, hah.
